The Speech that won the election

How many trillions of dollars per year are you willing to spend to close the border? $2trillion a year won't do it. Won't even come close.
Citation needed.
Bear in mind the benchmark here is operational control not total control.

persecution complex? you mention this often or something similiar. it is actually a real thing. if you have an unpopular opinion you will get hounded by like 50 other lefty posters. imagine if useless was a ayn rand libertarian, combined with his posting style he would get ripped to shreds by you hyenas but because he's a dirty lefty he gets away with so much nonsense.

You're simply calling everyone who is right a lefty.

There is apparently no end to the excuse making here...

:dunno: believe what you want, but the scale of the financial crisis was enormous and had effects that are well-beyond the ability of governments to fix. I guess people could want a more powerful government, but I doubt it.

I didn't expect overnight results... but 4 years later, I expect results, especially when the national debt has nearly doubled in the meanwhile.

It's only a misstatement to be an illegal immigrant. It's not like they're felons or anything.

as much as it takes. I dont think it will be more expensive than the Gulf War

On account of having immigrated illegally, or on other accounts as well?

If it's the former, what's your problem with making all immigration legal? This would "solve" the criminal "problem", don't you think?

Deporting them all will also solve the problem, and it requires no legislation

It is also costly and damaging to the economy. An amnesty seems to be the easier solution.

People who favor that approach have tried to make that case.
They have FAILED.

The people of the USA want the existing laws enforced.

That means....illegals do NOT get to stay here

What if it's part of a compromise? Amnesty for everyone already here, then enforce border controls?

legalise anything and its not a problem anymore..

No, most things are a problem beyond being illegal. That should be obvious. It's just that Chiteng's only criticism of illegal immigrants is that they're in the US illegaly which is kind of ... tautological.

That means rewarding law breakers. I will never support such a position. NEVER.

I believe that criminals should be PUNISHED.

In this case that means making them leave, if need be by FORCE.

Also, refusing to enforce the border is blackmail/extortion. Those who favor this are guilty of treason

Even if this causes adverse effects in the regions where immigrants tend to live, like the massive costs this would have and the economic repercussions I've mentioned? This will not only harm illegal immigrants, but everyone in regions that are targeted by immigrants. Doesn't that matter to you?

No I have many reasons. I have given a few. But I am limited in what I can post because
of the mods in this forum.

That is economic blackmail. Sophistry. It doesnt matter what the pain is.
Get rid of them.

Sorry, I must have missed your reasons. Could you quickly reiterate them? Preferably without anecdotal references to drunk drivers.

Edit: no it's not blackmail. And you keep misusing the word sophistry. Would you want to pay to deport illegal immigrants?

Whatever it costs. There is no limit. To allow them to stay, is to allow an extra-national
to ignore our laws. That is not acceptable.
