Great place to go for tutorials- specifically I use the tutorials made by Ascension and my maps have what those guys over there call an 'Ascension style'.
Maybe it's a reference to his earlier NES idea.
URL copypasta works fine.

This is what I'll be using for my new NES (yep, starting a new one that is less stat-heavy on my end and more about the storytelling so I will not be overworked now that I have other things to do in-real-life).

That's what I made a couple days ago. Anyone have any hints for dealing with the dark coast? I want the water to lighten as it gets closer to shore, to make it more realistic.

Yes, it's more like ten minutes, but I guarantee you that you'll use at least ten minutes of your day aimlessly browsing the forums anyway. Why not do something useful?

Alright, fair enough, but I am not enough confident in my abilities to pull something even as simple as that off. That being said it was my fallback plan. I thought it to my advantage to ask for a map properly cleaned of its former residents. And I apologize if that was an inconvenience.

Well it looks clean. Perhaps I didn't do it properly, but it no longer has the colors in it. I think that is enough.

Not an inconvenience (it's not like you're requiring anyone to do it), but it smacks of laziness to me. If you're not confident in your map abilities, it seems like clearing a map would be a good place to start...?
