There's no inherent reason why the smaller continents should tend to the west or east of a world; it's Daft's choice.

Personally I prefer worlds which are built on a completely different plan than Earth's.

One that's 5% done, so there's no reason to give it out, you could get as far as is shown on it in about a half hour. Me and Daft both worked on rivers throughout the map however, and I have a decent amount of mountains NK style on one version as well.

I'd actually be kind of interested in seeing the rivers/mountains map, just out of curiosity. If it isn't a pain to post, that is.

I signed off all rights to that map after my failed attempt to use it, it's yours free to use Shadow.

I just consulted the Wiki page about it heavily and with a good amount of guidance from NK, did it myself. I don't particularly like it, some things could be improved, but oh well.

Often FSNES stillbirth. We should save these maps which have been created, store them here until someone wants one.. since they take a lot of effort to create a good one. Agreement to this?

I agree, even though I didn't make any of them. I wouldn't mind using one, either, as I find myself terribly lazy, too much so to make my own map for a current FSNES idea.

Could anyone perhaps make a Dune map?
It would be a desert planet with some mountains and hills.

Not much work, but to hard for a map-noob like me ;-)

If i can find a good map i might set up a dune-nes.

Cool It's a little tough, at least at first glance, to pick out all the marked systems from the galaxy background, but otherwise, I like it quite a bit. How many marked systems are there on that map? Also, is this for an upcoming NES project, or just for the fun of it? I loves me some outer space.
