all just coincidence, and then someone/something takes advantage of it, and therefore changes its surrounding.
That's basically the easy version of mutation and selection.

I think that depends on what you said. If it was just addressing them as Mr so and so rather than Ms, I wouldn't think it mattered as it happens a lot even without a cultural gap.

Much more than that, though, and you could be in trouble. But I don't know why you would do more than that in a job application.

Well it is a bit sloppy to just assume a gender, and in this day and age minuscule things seem at times to suffice to discard an application. On the other hand - they may not, depending on how the situation is at the company or your credentials.

If they're female, they're probably already sensitive to the fact that many people find a woman in a position of authority at best curious and at worst laughable, so you may have just touched a nerve.

Dunno. I'm surprised they didn't just run him down (given the crackdown that came very shortly afterwards). But apparently he was armed with a Tesco bag, so that might be why.

As for why the other tanks didn't outflank him, I'd guess they had standing orders to follow the tank in front.

How do you stop a cat from crapping in the house? This is an indoor-outdoor cat who's always gone outside. But the weather has been so cold, he's stopped going out, and started crapping on the floor. There is a litterbox, and the cat does use it. And craps on the floor anyways.

Not entirely sure all the tricks, but you have to clean/bleach the snot out of where he's gone that you don't want him to, it has to completely stop smelling like he's used it before. Reclean the litter box, possibly add a 2nd litterbox if the floor crapping and 1st box are on different levels, possibly make the area he now wants to go in smell like nutmeg if all else fails. Also, make sure he's not stopped up somehow, be it hair or urinary blockage, those can make male cats crap outside the box and neither is terribly uncommon. Our male cat does that if we don't keep him shaved down, he has more hair than he can handle. Valka'd know more.
