The very many questions-not-worth-their-own-thread question thread XXVIII

Yeah but it wasn't like you were intentionally doing it, so you are fine. My comment was more about deliberate stares and people who go out of their way to be creepy at gyms and try and strike up conversation when they shouldn't be - and since you weren't doing that you did nothing wrong.

Oh yeah, I know, it's just a stupid thing I got into that sort of made me feel like "the bad guy" no matter what course of action I might have taken. I suppose the only thing I can do is start wearing such revealing outfits myself, and showing off my butt to anyone who wants to see it as well.

Have an ink sac surgically inserted. If she notices you looking, fill the room with a cloud of ink and make your escape. PROBLEM SOLVED.

Even delusional that she may have even noticed you, much less what you were thinking? :mischief:

The answer to that is always the same. Standards are misaligned with present reality.

If she couldn't hear the steps right behind her then she is deaf. And chances are she isn't deaf.

Why are there barely any good looking women at my gym :gripe:?

My gym is at a university and has been recently built to accommodate a very large student population. Staff members such as myself get a discount, but the place is full of mostly students.

Should've been more specific: Hardly *any* women.
Although it hasn't been too bad today.
Guess my regular hours (Friday evening and *any* time on a Sunday) aren't good for oogling :mischief:.

Same here, and apparently the m/f ratio in the city is even a bit in favour for me, but it seems that most girls just enjoy more going for courses, and not just to the workout *shrugs*.

What's the difference between and [URLSAME][/URLSAME]?

One opens in the same window, the other in a new one, I think.

What attracts a lot of girls to this gym are all the classes you can take. Yoga, dancing, uhmm.. a LOT of weird stuff like that. There's rooms of people doing it. And girls eat that stuff up. The type of girls who are into going to the gym and/or keeping fit anyway.

That's of course just a hypothesis, but one I am willing to stand behind for now. In fact, I want to look up self-defense classes and maybe a dancing class. Seems like a good way to learn some useful skills while at the same time improving my overall fitness. It's almost a no brainer.

Think of it as a group activity where they get to keep score. The score is just nonlinear.

I guess women just aren't as easily entertained as men are by lifting heavy things and going "HNRGH".

@warpus: clearly the solution to your problem is to take a picture of the girl in question, make it accessible for this thread's CFCers only and let us judge.
What's the difference between [URL][/URL] and [URLSAME][/URLSAME]?
URLSAME links are opened in the same tab, URL ones are opened in a new one.

I think this is a leftover from that time when tabs had not been invented yet, so links might have been opened in a different window each time you clicked.

I try to improve that too, but at least can't in the gym, due to time constraints.
Already taking 2 dancing classes at a student association, and together with my language course the time is then a bit limited.
The Salsa class at the sports center is at the same time as my current one, the yoga and the pilates clash with my normal working hours, and now they seem to offer Flamenco....during the lunch break.
I'm hoping they take the kickboxing in again, but then I'd have to skip the classical dance course :/.

But yeah, at least the Salsa is nice. It's fun to dance (due to some speed and the changing partners), and you can probably use it also in RL (whereas the usage of a Waltz is rather limited, and less fun). Probably also helps with some sort of coordination...I hope (and yeah, with the fitness; you're definitely sweating at the end). So if they have a class for it, then I'd recommend it :D.

Just make sure it's not a cooking class.

'Some facial hairs' would seem quite sarcastic and dismissive - as if the person in question was trying but failing spectacularly to grow a beard. 'Some facial hair' would mean a short beard or a modest moustache.

Yes. 'Hairs' in the plural instead of 'hair' as an uncountable noun implied that they're few enough to be counted.
