What's a crockpot and can the term be used as a slur?

A crock is a clay jar, I suppose you could use one as a pot.

If something is a load of crock it is a load of rubbish ie he posts a load of crock.

Also you can get a crock of gold at the end of the rainbow, but you never get to the end of the rainbow so never get the gold.

There is apparently some difference between a crock pot and a slow cooker but I've always used those words interchangeably.

Ah so it's like a high tech tagine pot?

There are quite a few of these type of products that replace pots. Crock-pot is a trade marked name of one. Others supply products that they call crock pots , without the - . Crock pots have also been used as a name for cauldrons for use to cook over an open fire, which is where these products get there name from.

However; a crock pot should not be confused with a crotch pot*
*Yes, it's a real thing. Google It.

This. I've also seen the term used occasionally to refer to, e.g. Le Creuset's brand of cast-iron enameled cookware. Technically it refers to a line of cooking devices with an electronic apparatus that plugs into a wall socket and can be used for slow-cooking meat with a (sometimes removable) basin, however, broadly it can refer to any large non-stainless steel cooking pot used for slow-cooking a meal (especially meat). Sometimes it can also even refer to the enameled tray/dish used to hold the meal/keep it warm, even if that tray/dish wasn't originally used in the food preparation.

No the line of cooking devices with an electronic apparatus that plugs into a wall socket are just using the name of preexisting products. They just used the name of an existing product and put, - ,between crock and pot. Which is why there are similar products which call themselves crock pots but with out the - because crock pot line with the - could not trademark an existing product.

My explanation is descriptive, not prescriptive.

Only witches use cauldrons. :c5razing:

They have upgraded to electricity now and the removable parts make it easier to clean.
Witches always had modern stuff which is why people persecuted them.

What's a crockpot and can the term be used as a slur?
In the right circumstances and with the right tone of voice, probably.

Does anyone know what language this is, and what the word for either 'options' or 'preferences' is in it? I kind of messed up when installing it.
