if you want vectors why aren't you using Illustrator?

He's not as much of a cheapskate as I am, but he's almost as skint so it evens out.

Lemon Twist?

What they say cannot be proven. It is an opinion they have and clearly they are not too bright if they use name calling to support their position. Find new friends. Do it now. Folks are known by their associates and you don't want to be associated with them. :)

They don't use name calling, their favourite way to win an argument is to repeat the same thing over and over again until everyone else gives up. They do constantly prove that they are better than me at everything to the point that they're amazed that I could be so terrible. I could struggle with something for years and the moment they first try it they're immediately better than I could ever be. They once said to me that they couldn't understand why anyone could be so terrible at art when it's so easy. When I try something new, they tell me that I'm doing it wrong.

Sometimes they do seem to argue just to prove me wrong. One of them asked a question wondering why people would want to listen to a variety of different music. I said that it might give them perspective on other styles of music, then they said I was wrong and that people should just listen to the kind of music they like.

I'm never going to be able to find new friends.

They are fascist. They are evil. They are scum.

They may be better than you are at presenting their arguments. But their arguments are evil arguments. Their goals are evil goals.

They want to harm other people for their own benefit. And they think that they are entitled to do so.

Please understand that no matter how well they present what they are saying, everything that they are saying is wrong.

They did want to reclaim the word fascist.

They don't want to harm people for their own benefit, only that it's the right and moral thing to do.

If they think harming others is the right and moral thing to do, then there is no redeeming them. They are evil. The best thing you could do is to have no contact with these people at any time in the future.

Given that their definitions of like...everything...are pretty off, I'd guess their defintion of "good" is off too. I'd not give too much on that opinion.

I'm never going to be able to find new friends.

Why not? In contrast to your "friends" you seem to be a decent person.
Just find some group activity which you like, and you'll meet people.
If you have like no idea at all, then check the local football club, and see if they have a team for recreational playing. You can suck at playing, and you'll still have people who are okay with that, and who'll hang around with you.

The only thing they seem to have any natural talent for is refusing to hear anything they don't want to. That's not a hard skill to come by; most people acquire it naturally by the time they reach 40.

You don't appear to have any real friends right now and ‘come to Argentina’ might be a tad expensive, but there's a saying here that translates roughly as ‘better alone than in bad company’.
Any ideas on how to bring a water bottle with me on long walks that isn't a pain to carry around?
A backpack? They're useful for carrying things around in general.

They've proven over and over again that I'm the one who's always wrong and that I'm a complete waste.

That's name calling in my book. Name calling and bullying is an evil combination. Give them two fingers and be on your way. Having people like that in your life is a terrible thing. Ditch them.

I bought one for mountain skiing last year and it's pretty neat. It was an Osprey 0.5L reservoir.

A full backpack would be a little too cumbersome. This is just a 2-3 hour suburban walk and not a hike.

I'll look into these camel back things.
I bought one of the camel back things, and I regret not getting one with a bit of space. It is not really less cumbersome than a small backpack, and it has next to no space for anything but water. I would really like to have one that could take a sandwich and chocolate bar or something.
