The Void Wakens - A God Game

Edited my orders as to save cived from the fact that trees and lizards are the only intelligent lifeforms in his game. kek

My creation is now sentient. get rek'd age of creation.

Action II, instituted. Also note that Tolni needs to define where northwest is with regards to his intended continent (northwest of Zapperiscus' land between it and the central island is what I think he intended, based on our chat discussion over his intentions a couple of days ago).

Update will be going up by friday.
The way it's looking right now, we'll still be in the Age of Creation, because we only have two civilization-building races (which are trees and bloody great lizards because wut).

so tribal elven race like mine dont count  unless they can build.

ACT II

As the last echoes of Her father's voice faded, Heshan's mind had already moved, considering the races of the world.

None, she decided, were yet worthy of the gift of magic, of being able to delve into the spirit world, for all were of a single facet of divinity, and so imperfect and incomplete.

And so, landing next to a river near the Lodestone, she fashioned a new race from the mud. Two legs, two arms, a head at the top, two eyes, a nose, a mouth. Men and women both, a crude representation of the shape many of the Gods naturally gravitated towards.

With a smile, with pride, she looked upon her creations, lifeless, still, statues, though statues crafted by the divine.

Passing through them, she breathed her magic into every mouth. As the breath passed through clay lips, they became flesh and blood, though all lay still and asleep. They were a small folk, with sandy curly hair and a nut brown skin, and all slept with a smile.

Once in a while, she touched one of the sleeping figures, and under her finger, they tossed and turned, dreaming of the act of their creation. Magic flowed through the bloodlines of those she touched much more strongly, as the roots of their souls delved deeply into the spirit world, trying to make sense of what they had dreamed.

As she completed her work, Heshan longed, ached, to wake her creations, but knew that, should she do that, all she had worked for would be for nought.

And so, turning away, she let her voice go on the wind, calling on each and every god to come and give a gift, to make their mark on those who would truly be the future of the world.

Soon looked out over the world, and beheld the work of the other gods. He saw Aran'shei and his daughter separate the worlds of the mystic and the mundane, he saw Xyz fill his desert with life, he watched with interest as Shegorath and Shai'tan caused the skies to swarm with life of all kinds. He saw, too, the various new races being brought into being, some of which were thought by their creator to be civilized... perhaps he would aid the young societies in time, but he had business of his own to attend to right now. And he excavated an enormous underground labyrinth that connected all the continents of the world together, and filled it with all manner of wondrous and fecund creatures, such that future civilizations tenacious enough to dig deep would reap the bounty of the subterranean world. Once his task was complete, he heard Heshan's plea. Her request was a worthy one, and so Soon deigned to gift her creations with the spark of leadership and interdependence on one another, along with the capacity for true civilization. His work complete for now, Soon rested, waiting to see how the remaining gods would shape the world, and if any other would respond to Heshan's call.

it takes two actions to create a sentient (i.e. civilization-building) race.

Oh ok I didn't know that (might want to put that in the rules).

well i guest the Valadesh will be non-sentient until next update (think of them like the Falmer without the ugly appearance)

But if two actions are required for a race to build civilization - how come the lizards will be? Only one action was used by NinjaCow when Xyz created the Jutttt, while the other one created desert plants. Or are you talking about some other kind of lizards?

He's talking about the Dragons, the Jutttt are about as intelligent as pigs.

Confirmed.

Vol'Terra looked on the world and desired a holy place, one for him and his followers. Vol'Terra looked across the world, searching for a place for a new land mass. Settling on creating a new land mass in the north east, between the two major landmasses from the previous millennia. Vol'Terra reached into mantle, and pulled out a chunk of magma. From this he created a large Island, dotted with tiny volcanoes, and in the middle a great volcano, that renews and rejuvenates the land. While all volcanoes are holy to Vol'Terra, this particular island, and her large central volcano is the most holy of them all. It give fire and earth to this new land mass, and restores and rejuvenates the land.

For his second action, Vol'Terra breathed life into his magma, creating beings of rock and fire, the Gol'jin, living magma, would be the keepers and guardians of Vol'Terra's holiest shrine. For now they have no free will, they are no greater than animals, mindless guardians of the volcano.

Update 3/2
Year 0 of the Age of Life
Year 10 of the Treecount (Matriarch Trees)
3 Dragonlives (Dragons)
The First Cycle of the First Conflict(Ironborn)
Year 0 of the Sprouting Age (Ground Veins)
The Signing of the Nature Compact

Link to video.

Within an ancient grove, the Trees met. They had come from all reaches of the Matriarch Clans, and they had arrived here to sign a compact.
"In the name of the Northern Clans, I pledge myself to the Compact."
"In the name of the Southern Clans, I pledge myself to the Compact."
"In the name of the Western Clans, I pledge myself to the Compact."
"In the name of the Eastern Clans, I pledge myself to the Compact."
50 of the trees stayed behind, and formed the new, Central, clan. The Clan of the Elder Grove. The Clan of life.

But the veins of the new were not just running in the Major continent. While the Trees and Dragons reigned over there, On Bähl's lands, varying creatures formed. From veins to the powerful warriors, a prototype of all, the First Cycle of the First Conflict began on said continent.

And underground, beneath Vol'Terra's creations, a race slept so calm, it was not noticed for another 500 years...

Notes
The Age of Life has 500 year periods, and will end once either one race has five nations, or if three races have three nations each.
another new tab was added, with civilizations. You can safely ignore this one for your orders.

Heshan stood her lonely vigil on the banks of the river, watching her sleeping children, waiting for those who still had not come to bless those who would one day rule all this world in the name of all of the Gods.

A statue, some would have said, were it not for her eyes, shining bright with life, and her song, still calling, longing, for her brethren to give a gift to her creations so that they would belong to all. Nothing would touch them till she chose to woke them.

But as she stood, the weight of her presence drew thin the boundaries between the worlds, permanently changing the landscape. Forevermore would the mists of magic float freely, and even when the Otherworld would be at it's furthest, would magic still be accessible here in the homeland of Humanity.

Heshan stood and counted, and when she deemed enough Gods had come to bless her creations, she woke them, vanishing so that they could make their own way in the world without being influenced by her first.

Only those she had touched would now the role she had had in shaping them, and though they would form the core of many of the tribes of humans, not all would chose to worship her.

ACTION 1:
Stand Guard over the sleeping humans. Standing so long, motionless, will create a river valley and hills where magic will always be present. This valley will have a low, cool mist hanging over green hills, and the skies will be bright with auroras and other phenomena.

ACTION 2:
At the END of the Turn, when gods have come to bless humans, wake them, but disappear before they wake, so that they have choice in what they believe. Only those that Heshan touched wheel they slept will know what she did for them.

Answering the call of Heshan, Void came to see the sleeping humans. It looked upon these lifeless, yet to be woken, bodies and decided that part of their souls shall be forever void of matter. Instead, Void filled their subconscious mind with the cosmic energy that embodies the universe - allowing those of humankind who are determined enough to eventually achieve true freedom and be able to leave their earthly attachments behind.

After giving this gift to humanity, Void appeared before the Oblivious and imbued them with the same cosmic energy it had given to the humans. Void stated that their role in this world would be not to live a life bound to this plane, but to act as Spiritual Guides for all races - to maintain the philosophy of the deities and act as guardians of the Holy Mountain.

Action 1: Forming the humans' subconscious out of cosmic energy so that a select few - those who are determined enough - can, after a life devoted to the spiritual ways, reach enlightenment and leave their bodies to become void, instead of dying.

Action 2: Granting sentience to the Oblivious (if this is still possible to do). They are still void of long-term memory but, as was stated upon their creation, they will be capable of accomplishing their given duties by living together as a community. You can think of them as some kind of oracle.
