Things you want to do before you die?

Well, I guess there're a few:

- be around and contribute to the cure for aging
- help reduce the opportunity cost of Justice
- get my very own power armor a la Iron Man
- drink the beer that Perfection buys me
- help conquer involuntary death
- leave Earth on my own starship

make a contribution worthy of my potential

I want to see the ocean.
Or fly in an airplane.
Or go on a boat bigger then a canoe-esque sized.
See a snow-capped mountain.
Visit a Red-wood forest.
Just go visit BC (Victoria or Vancouver) and you'll be able to cross off everything on your list.

As for me, I want to:

- attend a (soccer) World Cup
- attend a Stanley Cup Finals game
- see the Canucks win a Stanley Cup
- attend an Olympics (might have to visit Vancouver next year, even without event tickets; atmosphere should be great)
- have a family
- travel somewhere warm in the middle of winter (I think I'm the only person I know who's traveled to colder places mid-winter)

I'm sure I'll think of more later...

No, some of us realize that immortality would get tiring.

Find a partner.
Go outside.
Deal with my issues/problems.
Not in any specific order though.

Better tired than... dead, you know. ;)

If I cannot live a million years (or eternally), then I guess I'd like to do something worth writing or write something worth reading - preferably both. Not sure if I can ever find the courage, skill, effort etc. Tbh, I already live like I had a million years.

That kind of boredom will make you wish for death.

Yes, well it would still take billions of years. I am not in the least bit bored right now and I'm not even rich or anything; if I could live to the time of interstellar travel, goodbye boredom for the next 'N' years that it would take to explore all the galaxy...

There is no way I can know what happens when a tungsten rod impacts me at 0.99c because I haven't experienced it either.

Depends. I surmise I could keep asking questions forever, if I could get them answered, then immortality would be worth it.

What is a tungsten rod?

IIRC, it's similar to titanium. Might be involved with the production of it.

Could, be wrong...

but I do know that it is a hard material :D

Metal with highest melting point. I think the US military is considering equipping Satellites to drop those things from orbit to smashy up targets with KE alone.

In no particular order:
Get a PhD in Physics and/or Astronomy
Go into orbit
Land on the moon/another planet
Visit every continent
See a Solar Eclipse
Eat enough ramen things so I can wallpaper my room with them (I think I've got 500 more to go)
Get married
Have a big goldfish pond
See a Supernovae (Preferably Eta Carine or Betelgeuse)

And a few more that I don't feel like mentioning.

I don't think Tungsten and Titanium are particularly similar at all. I don't think Tungsten is known for its strength or light weight, but for its high melting point. If I recall, it is hard but very brittle instead of strong.

I would say to check your light bulbs to see an example of tungsten, but those probably aren't incandescent anymore.
