Think Rand Paul is an intellectual lightweight?

Lolbertarian, anarchrist, what does it matter? You're still all a bit weird and probably mental.

Indeed you do. As I said, there's a reason that liberalism gives a free tech in Civ IV. Think about it.

Think that if you like (I'm joking btw).

What we really need is a book written in the iron age for a basis for all that is true.

A book that coincidently advocates rape, slavery and genocide, not to mention other abhorrent ideas

I figured you were kidding, but I have the smilie to PROVE I was kidding:)

That said, we do have such a book.

A book that coincidently advocates rape, slavery and genocide, not to mention other abhorrent ideas

When did we switch topics and start talking about the Qu'ran?:p

Not to mention it was still written after the iron age.

I'm not talking about the Qu'ran. I'm talking about the bible.

Didn't it end after Rome?

Somewhere around then, I would say, yes. The Council of Nicaea was already deciding on which books to include around then too.

Rand Paul's dad is pretty much an anarchist. He certainly cavorts with them and admires them. From what I can see, Rand plays from the same rule book although he sometimes equivocates. So tell me, what you do think Rand Paul's position on Murray Rothbard might be?

Wow just wow. Do you actually believe this?

Ron Paul is just a reactionary old fart who gives potheads on the internet boners because he wants to legalize their favorite past time.

He is certainly no anarchist

Than the Qu'ran (Which is the book I assumed he referred too:)) was written after the end of the iron age.

Anarchist, no, but definitely Libertarian.

That is a pipe dream. There's actually more of a chance of getting legalization with liberal Democrats. What you need to do is come up with a good reason other than just wanting the government to stay out of everyone's business. If you go the libertarian route then you'll get an awful lot of bad along with whatever other goal you're seeking. The worst is the lack of environmental regulations and protections. Say goodbye to clean air, water and land if libertarians had all the power. No safety nets and lots more privatization of prisons would actually create more incentive to keep it illegal so they can get more prisoners to work for free.

Abegweit isn't libertarian, he's anarchist.
I know you're kinda the king of meaningless political labels around here, but I can do without your authority on this matter, thanks.

Label-juggling notwithstanding, the fact remains that Abegweit actually knows what he's talking about, instead of just announcing his ideology because it's the current rightwing fad.

He's not really an anarchist, he's just an anti-statists. Anarchists are against power as such, not just against the Westphalian nation-state.

/pedant
"Westphalian" nation-state? Is this part of that mischaracterization of the IPO and IPM that used to be popular back in like the thirties?

I meant nation-states that are situated between the Stephanian and Namurian strata. Trolls and such.

Doesn't mean anything over here, we just have the Pennsylvanian. Well, and a bunch of Russian names for the stages that nobody can remember.
