You get into $195/night territory if you need to rent out an entire apartment. Which, yeah... obviously.

Skimming the article again, it doesn't seem to say whether those numbers are for rooms or whole apartments. I suppose we have to assume the latter. Of course the full database is restricted to Bloomberg terminals. I also haven't done any comparisons with hotel prices in these cities.

You have a lot more money than most people rah. I only stay at 3 digit hotels because work pays for it.

The time before I went to that Casino, I stayed at a 2 digit hotel and it cost me considerably more money since I brought home some friends in my luggage.
So I don't stay at 2 digit hotel's anymore. (unless it's really a 3 digit hotel and I got a special rate somewhere)

But yeah, as I get older, I prefer to spoil myself. You can't take it with you.

Joliet has a city population of 150,000 and is sequestered securely in the buttcrack metro area of the 3rd largest city in the country, clocking in at nine and a half million souls. It's just lower class white/hispanic, not in the middle of nowhere.

Edit: actually, my memory fails me. I'm thinking of Aurora, which is bigger, and white/hispanic. Joliet isn't particularly hispanic.

Was Aurora the one the FBI helped police for a couple decades are drastically reduced the crime rate?

There are like, two hotels in this entire city where the cheapest rooms are just a hair under $100/night. One is in the "ghetto" and the other is booked out months in advance. Even hostels are ~$60/night.

I wouldn't dare spend a night in any hotel in Chicago that was less than 100, which I doubt you could even find.

I stayed 1 night at a Super 8 near the O'hare airport that was under 100. NOT recommended, like at all.

Vancouver. For $89/night, you can enjoy a giant stone tub that you can barely get into and out of, window with a street view of the homeless who shout and get into knife fights at night, an old CRT TV, and no air conditioning!

Also, the doors are particle board.
