Tim Tebow Super Bowl Ad: Glad He Wasn't Aborted?

I'm sure he'll wish he had been when he's drafted in the 5th round.

Tim Tebow will be drafted the first round, around the 15 - 17 range is my guess.

...And to whomever said Tim Tebow is a prick, shame on you. I hate him as a football player with every ounce of my fiber (F@ck the Gators), but the dude is like the male version of Mother Theresa.

It's called pro-choice for a reason.

Because pro-abortion doesn't sound as nice?

I hope a pro-choice group counters by airing an ad about a woman who was advised by her doctor to abort her fetus for medical reasons, refused to do so for a religious reason, and died along with her unborn child.

That would also be a tear-jerking story about a courageous woman.

Then have I got the device for you, order now!

The fact that he's stupid enough to appear in such a commercial makes me kind of wish he had been aborted. That, and the fact he plays a sissy sport like American Football. Women wear pads, not men.

He has the right to say this, but I think it's the wrong forum, definitely. As others have said, pro-choice groups should counter with their own commercial.

That was what I was thinking.

I think this is really going to hurt Tebow's chances in the pros.

Yeah, then we can have a thread about if the woman was bold, delusional, brave, or stupid!

i'm pro-baby killing.

At least you're not pro-eating babies like Jonathan Swift

Spoiler :
I know it was a satire

Anyway, all jokes aside, I'm fine with the ad running so long as it's factually correct and doesn't overtly advocate hatred/harm towards a group of people. I personally don't agree with him, but he's entitled to believe differently.

It is a huge stretch to think that Tebow's mom was actually contemplating getting an abortion based on her fundamentalist religious beliefs. So if they merely state that her doctor had told her that she should abort the child for medical reasons, but she never really considered following that advice, that would be factually accurate. But if they even try to suggest that Tebow may not be here today...

Uh...how? They dont care about peoples opinions, they care if the guy can perform. Allowing the dog-killer to come back showed us that.
