Toukon Nes I : The Great War

Yeah, and those guys were both awesome. Vauban (general for Louis XIV in Spanish Succession, League of Augsburg, and many other wars) was actually the greatest authority on sieges of all time. France has produced some excellent military minds, some of whom are not technically French.

I remember this funny thing I read in a military history book a long time ago. In the 1740s, the French and Brits were fighting at the Battle of Fontenoy. A British captain was waiting for his men to form up for a charge, and strode out into the middle of the battlefield with a whiskey bottle in his hand. The fusillade of French firing stopped, and the Brit reportedly asked the French to "fire first". Other lines attributed include something about making the French swim over the Scheldt just like they had escaped across the Main earlier in the campaign. Then, the British redcoats started cheering and saluting the French.

The understandably-confused French returned the cheer and salute, at which point the British started firing and charged the French lines. They managed to capture the French fortifications but were eventually thrown back by the French Marshal Saxe. Still, it's a great story...

STALIN! IOSIF VISSARIONOVICH, THERE IS A QUESTION HERE THAT I SUPPORT AS WELL!
How shall we make orders for the small battles? With the big orders, or between the updates?

I just counted 550,000 Russian troops.

well the map is just showing the west, most of the army was in the east believing the next russian war would be against the japanese. does that explain anything yet? :p they are in trains moving west as most russian generals are wondering why their knowlenge of an alternate history and an alternate ww1 is not the same as they are currently fighting

Stalin, I did order for the country to be mobilised

it is already mobilized, but you used them up, now you are left w/ volunteers and guards

Nope!

Problem with the Japanese is, the Russians already agreed with the British that they will agree with the Japanese that the Japanese will fight Germany instead. As Britain and Japan were at the moment allies (as in, military alliance), and Russia and Britain were at the moment allies, well, that's it.

why did someone say something about the Japs tying up Russian forces or some such foolary? Still think that teh small and greatly experienced volounteers of the British army should have better training levels than a largly conscript German army (all you have to do is look at RL to see the vast differences in the ability of the ground troops).

BTW , constantine if u read this anytime soon you need to contact the Belgians and the French and make plans whilst refering to theirs. You know what i want of you :D

Napoleon's french armies were conscripts, but they were the best fighting force in Europe. CONSCRIPTS DO NOT EQUAL BAD PEOPLE! Germany had the best equipment and training, their whole nation was geared for war. The German railroad system was even designed for troops moving between fronts.

Nope!

well... napoleon was an extremely charimistic person and the french conscripts were fiercely patriotic and nationalistic so maybe that had something to do....

of course it equals bad people, thats why napoloen lost and Germany lost, you cant argue with facts

Napoleon lost because he became lazy. He sure didn't lose in the beginning did he? Germany lost because America joined, simple as that. They were holding their own and actually were pushing the French back, but America had the additional manpower to defeat Germany.

And the reason I asked if you had AIM is that I want your AIM emu, so what is it?

IMPORTANT!!!!

I AM UNABLE TO CONTINUE THIS NES.
