U.S. Mulling How to Delay Elections in Case of Attack

You know that's actually the reason why guns are legal for civilians to own in the US. It's not to protect your property or person, it's to give you the means to overthrow your government, if necessary. And as I have previously stated, the original rebels overthrew us Brits for far less tyranny than George Bush Jr is displaying these days.
I totally agree with Zulu on this one. This administration has made no secret of it's total disdain for the Constitution. We rebelled against the good King George III for a whole lot less.
And as Kamilian 1 so colorfully pointed out, the options this election year are between freedom & dictatorship.

The White House says a lot of things. They have not once been right about predicting a terrorist attack. Their attitude seems to be: Boo! Be afraid! Otherwise you're unpatriotic!

For all the conpiracy theorists.

Just wanted to bring this back up given the vehemence with which some posters stated that Bush would use terrorism to postpone elections.

There was no postponement, cancellation or staged attack despite the very close, in fact sill undecided, status of the elections.

Well, perhaps this thread wasn't the perfect example, but there was several people that said that an attack was a certainty, along with the 'capture' of Bin Laden before the elections.

Actually quite a few people, including some who posted in the thread claimed it was a certainty if the election seemed close.

A few months ago I made a thread stating that the Bush administration would use a terrorist attack to postpone or cancel the elections. The consensus seemed to be that I was a wacked conspiracy nut. But lo and behold, now the administration itself is signalling that thats exactly what it plans to do. What are the nattering naysayers saying now? This is why I never completely dismiss conspiracy theories, occasionally theyre right.

Or, in this case, you're just a wacked conspiracy nut.

(Hindsight is always 20/20, eh?)
