Also, for the Saturday, i want to go buy some stuff in camden before the meetup, hopefully I shall be done by 11 but it might make me a little late.

Starbucks near Tottenham Ct Rd - Near what railway station is that and how do I get there from Chippenham (or some other station near Malmesbury).
http://ojp.nationalrail.co.uk is quiet confusing to me.
Trains from Chippenham arrive in London Paddington Station, which means you will need to take the Underground to get from Paddington Station to Tottenham Court Road Underground station.

Here's a tube map for Central London:

Paddington is on the top left, Tottenham Ct Rd is in the middle. Best bet is to take the Brown line (Bakerloo) to Oxford Circus, and then the Orange (Central) to Tottenham Court Road.

I think, if you buy on the day, you only have a choice of zones: 1,2,3,4,5 or 2,3,4,5,6 (or smaller sets cost the same amount - something stupid like that)

I am fairly confident you will need zone 1

@ Rik: Hope this helps a little:

There appears to be 3 Starbucks near the Tottenham station:

1. 55-56 Oxford Street
London, England W1R 1RD

2. 112/116 New Oxford Street
London, England WC1A 1HH

3. 120 Charing Cross Road
London, England WC2H 0JR

Wow, thanks, guys!

OK, whoever suggested we meet up at "the" Starbucks near Tottenham Ct Rd, which one did you mean? I can just imagine some of us waiting in all three...

Three? Yikes, there weren't any there last time I looked, or maybe I just wasn't looking as I tend not to use such things. Tottenham Court Road can be confusing as it has exits on each corner of the crossroads, so use the tall building (centrepoint) to orientate yourself. Looks like there's one Starbucks almost opposite centrepoint which might be the easiest to find for those that haven't been to Tottenham Court Road before.

If we're going to be travelling about, a travel card is usually good (although it's been a while for me), they usually cover you for the main zones (we'll definitely need zone 1) for unlimited journeys on the day. Some train tickets come with them included, at least ones from my way do, so if you haven't got a train ticket yet that's often the simplest way to do it.

I'm gonna brave the Christmas shopping frenzy and leave to buy train tickets in a minute. Wish me luck. Hopefully I will not be lost amongst the rabid hoardes!
