UK CFC Meet up?

I may not be able to come. It's all complicated.
The original plan was that my sister would come to visit me this coming week, and I would go directly to London from here. Now she's not coming, so I've got no reason to stay in Bham. Hence, I'll be going home to SW Wales this w/e.
But... the train takes 6 hours from there, not 2. The earliest train on Saturday gets in at around 1, not good. If I travel all night, I can arrive at 8.30. Neither prospect appeals. Travelling on Fridays and finding a hotel is expensive. I'd need to find a hotel for Saturday night too if I can't get on one of the easy trains back to Bham. WTH shall I do?
And the cheapest ticket is £45 with a railcard, and the cheapest hotel is £40 for two nights. I don't know if I can afford it.

Hmmm, thats a dilema. Obviously I think you should do everything possiable to attend the meet

Where abouts in SW Wales is it?

And also getting into London for 1 on the Saturday isn't too bad, it doesn't take long to get anywhere on the tube in Central London so you'd (going by the plan) get there in time for lunch.

at this late juncture i have to hand in my towel.. i simply cannot afford a weekend in London on a student budget.

Had it been at the start of term, i probably could have got around it by living on Tesco value for the rest of the year, but now, i dont actually have the money to get me there!

Oh, cool, well my train is at 15:07pm, before that I was probably gonna go back to Camden to get anything I didn't have time for on the Saturday.

Depends entirely upon whether we've got a rugby match or not and if I can tolerate the thought of London.

Got a rugby match to play and then the Christmas piss-up with the lads...won't be able to come to London and probably will be in an alcohol induced coma by Sunday morning

Not particularly. Compared to some godawful, hangar-like Yates'/Wetherspoons place I suppose it could be considered a bit cramped, but otherwise it's always seemed reasonably sizeable. Big enough that I managed to have great difficulty locating my friend in it before going to see The Locust a couple of weeks ago.

Small....? It's huge! Well huge by my normal pub standards I think it's because it's normally very busy that it seems smaller.
