UK CFC Meet up?

Having attended (and sometimes organsised) nine (semi-)CFC get-togethers, including the one in Stuttgart, I have more tips:

Is it going to be a pub-strolling-day/weekend, or civ-playing weekend?
The two London get-togethers I have attended were pub-visiting only.

I guess best would be to collect in a bar, stay together for the day (noon on a saturday worked out fine twice), and let all go wherever they want around 11pm.
Sleeping places should be organised on a personal basis.
I would think that it would be pub. Sounds good about the stay together for the day thing.

Where abouts in London is Mise based?
South Kensignton. I think. Near their uni which their anyways.

I might just come ... but I'm one of those weirdies  who's managed to get to age 21 without yet liking alcohol, cigs, :smoke: modern music :band: or even coffee :hmm::crazyeye: ! But anyway, you folks have a good [party] party!
But you are a very smiley person! And feline_dacat doesn't drink either :p

Scarborough is nice at this time of year... and cheap

HA! scummy Scarborough more like!

Get yourself to bright, breezy, bracing BRIDLINGTON!

I'm in for drinking, probably not for civving.

I'm good for november but will be out the country from 18th till Dec 3rd.

I can't put anyone up, but I'm happy to organise rooms at hotels if people are doing that. I'm also happy to throw some cash into a kitty to help those get to wherever and have some drinks.

I really don't care where it is in the UK. I think a travel would add to the fun.

(Scarborough does dish up some excellent mushy peas all year round :D )

Time for me to post! A London meet would be fabulous, while pubs and general drinking is a good idea, I suggest a meal out in the evening to accomodate for those who are underage and won't get away with getting into clubs and bars.
If someone posts a price range/budget per person for food i can see what restaurants to go to and what i can do about getting group booking discounts. If they require a booking deposit I'll post again about it and see how we'll arrange that. Oh and obviously, let me know about dietary requirements - if you don't eat meat/beef/pork etc let me know and i'll ask about their menus and post on here about them.

Davo: Electric Ballroom is a fabulous idea! I think its a must.

I don't eat anything which didn't have feelings.

Don't you hear the carrots scream as you grate it into you salad? Or the wails of anguish from broccoli as its steamed to death?:crazyeye:

Regarding food - PIZZA is always a good one, not too expensive, and variety of options.
Pizza is booooring :'( London has a ton of restaurants - lets pick something a bit more special!
