UK CFC Meet up?

Yup! She got free murder... umm... I mean "ham"... too.

Anyway, it seems we have:

Date: Sat 17th / Sun 18th Dec
Place: London
People: Scroll up :p

Now we need to confirm what we're going to do and at what time. This post had it covered, but obviously goth clubs aren't for everyone... :p

Does anyone have any more thoughts on the activity, or is that outline good enough for everyone? It's gonna change throughout the day anyway, so... (not too fussed).

I don't mind...but will any of the activities require any form of ID?
If so, I might get myself some....er....non-official Id.

These are the activities, in easy-to-quote format:

Once we're bored of that, we'll make our way down Oxford Street then Regent Street - stopping off in the Apple Store cos everyone wants to go in and have a nose around. Its very pretty in there but you won't catch me buying a Mac! *sticks nose in the air* OHH! And of course we have to go in Hamleys, the finest toy store in the world, apparently. I just love it because I am a big kid.

Lunchtime: By the time we would've made it down to Picadilly Circus it'll be lunch time, if not early afternoon, so we should catch some lunch. I know the best places to have Japanese food around there, and obviously there's China Town to visit! And Leicester Square, which can be very pretty. I love eating out, its one of my favourite things to do

Afternoon: We'll catch a bus to Knightsbridge - very swish. The bus will take us down Picadilly, past the Royal Academy Of Arts and The Ritz on the edge of Green Park, to Hyde Park Corner and then on to Knightsbridge. We'll get off the bus there and walk down towards South Kensington, maybe stopping in Harrods if you so wish. On the way past Patisserie Valerie, we should pick up a quick pastry to nibble on the way to the museums! Hurray! I love museums. We'll spend the afternoon perusing the free exhibits in the museum of your choice: The Natural History Museum, The Science Museum or the Victoria And Albert Museum..
Alternatively we could visit/Rollerblade in Hyde Park - its very pretty there, especially on a nice sunny day. However i am rubbish on skates and will very very likely fall on my ass, which is funny for all but me :P

Evening: Foooooood! I think we'll go to Matsuri for dinner - to have Teppanyaki! Its entertaining AND yummy! Alternatively, we could go to Mitsukoshi where the waitresses are super-cute in their kimonos.
After dinner we should go to the Haagen Dazs cafe to have dessert. Yummm ice-cream! After we've lounged around enough we shold totally go to Camden to the Electric Ballroom for clubbing! That only lasts until 3am I think though, so if more clubbing was wanted, we should head to Slimelight in Angel, where clubbing ends at 6am
<--- This won't happen because (a) we will be eating somewhere cheaper, and (b) we're not going on an "official" clubbing thing.

And these are the activities in a less girly format:
Morning:
Starbucks near Tottenham Ct Rd
Oxford St -> Oxford Circus (shops)
Regent St (Apple Shop & Hamleys in particular)
Picadilly Circus (and surrounding monopoly board properties)
Lunchtime:
Lunch.
Afternoon:
Bus -> South Kensington
Museums (Natural History, Science or Victoria and Albert.)
Dinner-time:
Dinner.
Evening:
Pub? Dunno.

Any thoughts?

All good, just no Starbucks please, I refuse to go in there, due to seeing their 'moving next to local coffe shops and driving them out of buisness' thing in action, and also cuz i'm like SOOO anti-capitalist!

the alcohols of many types, and ye will be payed back (in time)

I'll buy a few drinks Noncon, as long as you don't come with some lame BS about intending to and finally paying it back.

It's not the money I need, it's the convincing I'm legal.

Surely we can't be discussing buying alcohol for minors on a public forum  ;)

Nice planning guys. I may turn up, do you mind? I'm not sure yet, since I'll be moving house that day, so might be a bit knackered. And I should imagine it'll be somewhat tricky to find you the later in the day it gets! I'll think about it and let you know closer to the time.

Heh, you sound like me, except I prefer carbonated water to acidic fruit juices. I do not like the noise of clubs, and prefer to stay in with a good movie and a good friend :)

How about Cafe Nero then? If I buy 5 more I get 1 free!!!
Heh ok:p

Ooh, I don't know. Might be a bit far for me to travel... ;)

OK we've booked the flight and room. We will be there Wed. and leave Sunday. I don't anticipate being in the room much.

Holly required one concession which is to see Coldplay at Earl's Court Thursday night. I am ready pub not club. I lost my groove, according to Holly, many moons ago. Remember my grades deal.

tut tut, you never lose it, you just need more "oil" to grease those grooves!

OK well I think I can dance but she says have "the bad swing the head moves". I will say I can do a mean Pete Townsend flying reverse windmill off a barstool if necessary. I can't wait to meet all you guys.
