I'd like to figure out a way for countries to have influence with other countries decisions but maybe simply leaving it to the art of negotiator is the way to go. Sidebar discussions and debate inside the "issue" thread.

Can we have seceret meetings and such between countries and consipracys to overthrow governments?

I guess you will have to have secret and private discussions with other countries, but I would advise against overthrowing governments. It has the potential to make things a lot more chaotic, and will move the focus away from discussing the resolution.
Remember that the goal of the thing is to have us discuss stuff...
Surely PM will account for that, we'll have under the table discussions? You can conspire and make any deal you like in PM, under the table, but as said let's keep it in the public eye.
Well that's it you don't need it, the art is in diplomacy so already catered for. Sidebar also can be done in PM maybe?

Sounds neat. Can I join? If they're open, I'd like to have Russia and if not that Germany. Russia would fit quite well because we just started that in my AP Comparative Politics.
Just a note though: I'll take any nation that needs a spot. It's always interesting to force yourself to look at something through a different viewpoint.

Btw everyone I think it would help to partner up too so there's internal discussion about how to proceed as a country. I know I'd like to have some help with the US so I can better understand the limosine liberal viewpoint.
Let's keep this as real as possible. This is not a NES so overthrowing governments and such is not what we're looking for unless it happens in real life. The key to this exercise is to solve problems, exude influence, develop your presentation skills and have fun.
