Unit Discussion/Previews

It shouldn't much - atleast on civ-scale. I made quite a lot of cyanish indexes to the palette, that it should not become a problem. I also tested with other unit palettes I have, and it seems to work ok.

About why the venerable dread is available only to space wolfs: maybe it has something to do witht the Bjorn the Fell-Handed, who is the oldest dreadnought still in service, and he is - you may already guessed it- a space wolf.

Good point. Altho I`d rather give them SW scouts as UU`s (Wolfen seem a bit extreme), since they have "professional" grizzled scouts, while in other chapters the recruits are used for scouting, and then they move on.

That way the players get to see more of your ubelivable creation :)

On dreads, I read from wikipedia [wiki]http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dreadnought_(Warhammer_40,000)[/wiki]
that dark angels have their own speciality dread also - a mortis dreadnought - with ranged weapons only... like this one:

Since while I'm at it, this would not be too much of a problem to make... :)

I am reading the first post list and some things are confusing me:
Why don`t the SW devastators use missiles?
And how come only DA devastators use Plasma Cannons?

I`d suggest that Templar infantry have an extra HP since they are by far the most numerous chapter, and their squads can number up to 20 marines instead of 10.

I agree about the DA Dread, atleast its really unique, like the Furioso is.

Well Devastators are armed with various heavy weapons, so I guess it's just to mix things up a bit isn't it?

That would be cool. I can't pull up the link for some reason, but that sounds right. I think it also lisnted an Aegis(Psycannon) dread for the GK's and a Hellfire Dread fot the Ultra's(close combat replaced with a missle launcher). Does that sound right Stromy'Quizy... I could be wrong. I am not by any means saying that you would be doinf them Aalgo.

Stormy have you seen the Dreads on Coolmiiniornot.com?

The Nordic helmet/mask is an interesting idea, and the Runes are a nice touch.

Sorry I didn't know they were going to be that big. Not trying to clutter the thread.

Yup, that's right too :)
Those'd be awesome :D But only if they're not too much trouble.
You'd have to go into all sorts of ones to make Chaos equally as varied though :mischief:

:D Well if your at it and are willing I say, "Go for it". I just don't think any of us want to see you get burnt out. The mod would lose one of its greatist contributors. I figure a couple extra units couldn't hurt right??

That sounds more than fair. I only brought those up as possible variations of armorment for the discussion.
