Unit requests thread

I would like to request:

Seawolf class SSN or Virginia class NSSN.

And a Commanche helicopter!

That's too bad, would have been cool to be able to use some of those units. The dragon wasn't that big, I just zoomed for close up pic (about 120kb nif). I found also dozen or so low poly farm animals: chicken, donkey, bull, turkey, rooster, cat, rabbit etc. among my morrowind mod files. All were animated so I guess they can't be used. :(

Hve you seen the new Camel resource?

Someone also made a donkey by reskinning the Immortal's horse and putting a sack on his back.

That's good - there should be a GM european with a donkey, I think: can you transplant the two together? Or is that complicated? I don't know much about this sort of thing

I am going to make a Hittite module with flavored units for my upcoming mod, and I need a three man chariot for their UU. I haven't been able to find a model with riders and I was wondering if anyone could possibly do this for me? Or if its even possible. You don't really need to make them look like Hittites as long as you keep it so the heads can be replaced I can modify the units to look like Hittites. Here is the Three-Man Chariot from CivIII:

Hittites_-_3man_Chariot.jpg

Basically the three man chariot gave an advantage because in normal Chariot combat there would be three men; the driver, the archer (who would both be on the chariot cab) and the runner (who would be a melee unit basically who would run alongside the chariot). The reason was that the way normal chariot cars were made they were unable to hold three men. The hittites had an advantage because their runner was ON the chariot, which meant they had more speed and the runner would, in theory, be less exhausted (running alongside a chariot and fighting people was certainly tiring). So anyway, yeah, could soemone help me out with this please?

I made the same request 4 months ago:
http://forums.civfanatics.com/showpost.php?p=7645804&postcount=2049
but nobody answered.

A workaround for this unit may be using a egyptian warchariot model with the addition of a still archer/spearman to the driver's left, very close to it due right spearman combat animation drawback. I'm planning to do this tentative asap, but if you'll find a convenient way to do it better you are welcome! :)

Going to request it again:

For this mod: Legends of Revolution: the Unofficial Expansion Project I have really good ethnic art differential going on. All except for one UnitClass, the Motorized infantry. All I can find is the M113 that's apropriate, every other mechanized infantry model available here is too modern. I could really use some more ethnic art deviation for Cold War era APCs or just any old Troop transport vehicle. The mod has 500 downloads already and is less then a week old, so if you make these models they will be put to good use.

One last note I only use models that are less then 2000 polys and 512 or smaller texture sizes.

@The Capo
These shots show my first attempt to do a hittite three-men-chariot, as I promised.
Obviously the warrior at driver's left is a still placeholder, but what do you think about it?
The men (and maybe horses) need a reskin, but chariot and horse models seem ok, imo.
The attached shots show fidget and strike animations with nifscope.

Hi, sorry I posted this in the wrong thread over in graphics modpacks:

Does anyone know about units and leaders graphics that depict fairly normal, everyday people? I've seen a couple of the units for the Fury Road mod that would work.

I'm working on a mod that takes place in a current-day setting, a few units I can think of that I definitely must have (even if I have to make them myself):

State Highway Patrol Troopers - I saw a good one for Civ3, but haven't seen a Civ4 one yet
Volkswagon Bus - I'd say vintage 1967-1974, the classic hippie van
Policeman - normal, speeding-ticket-writing policeman
-and/or- Police Car - a regular civilian automobile with police markings
Backpacker - just a person with hiking gear and a pack

Stuff like that - normal everyday people and vehicles - doctors, fire trucks, ambulances, construction workers, homeless people, you get the picture. I'm not sure I have the time or skills to pull all that off myself.

Really awesome work! Can't wait to get the finished product! Thank you.

Hi, if there is any unit graphic artists who could make the following pictures into BTS models for the Dune Wars mod, I will make sure you get the sincere credit you deserve for your hard work.

I need the following units:

Firehawk - air superiority fighter
