Unit requests thread

I have, i have, maybe i didn't see one, and some units here are attached to the threads and not to the db, and maybe someone just knows it.

The_J is rigth, it is very difficoult to find units in the database, because there are much entrys and no order within this. I am watching this db for a year or so, but I did not found the battering ram by myself because it was not in it, I did not found the opel blitz by myself, but I saw, that there are now 17 pages of modern units where only 11 have been one year ago. If I would join the forum now an were looking for one special vehicle, I would become mad by searching. I think, the modern units have to be devided into aircrafts, ships, modern infantry and ground vehicles, for example. It would made searching more easy.

This isen't exacly a unit request, more of a help request but I don't know where else to post it.
I have recently extracted a model from a PC game and adapted it into NIF format. The nif looks fine in NifSkope but when I use it in Civ it turns much darker than it should be, I have tried changing the textures but even when I add textures that are 100% lighter the unit still looks dark in the game.
Could anyone tell me why this is happening?
PS. I have attached the nif file, it uses Mech infantry animation.

I was wondering if anyone out there could do me a favor and turn this unit into a musketman. I would prefer the Oromo Warrior animation, but the musketman animation is fine as well. I am going to use it as a UU for one of my European modules (Sweden). If you'd like you can make the hair/beard blonde, that would be great. I would be indebted to you if you could help me with this.

Could anyone turn this unit into SAM Infantry (but with no AA animations, I only need it to fire a SMG with one hand)?
The zip includes 2 nif files (the unit and it's weapon) and their .max counterparts if they need a rebone or something. Also note that the units are quite small, may need to have their scale set to 10x or 15x once inported into another model.

A few units, a Sniper, a Modern Sniper, an Arquebusier, and a Minuteman.

The sniper could be based on the Infantry, while the modern sniper idk.

For the Arquebusier, i really want the Rifleman with the musketmans musket.

Ive seen some Minutemen around, but i want one in the undisiplined musketman position, leaning on his gun.

I'm looking for a modernize3d version of the japanese I-400 submersible carrier. Particularly with the idea of launching and recovering UCAV's like the MQ-9 Reaper.

It would be an wonderful addition to my realistic future mod.

I think there are "Amazon" unit sets in the database, at least for the modern and medieval eras, IIRC.

And I am quite sure StrategyOnly made an Amazon module, with all female units.

I was unable to do it, I only really know how to use NifSkope, and if the Nodes (or whatever they are called) aren't the same they don't convert over. So sorr, I was unable to do it. I tried it on the Musketman, the Oromo, and the Musketeer and none of them worked. Sucks too because that could have helped me with some units I was working on myself.
