Global Counters on top left: money, influence?, science, culture, happiness and last, a city capacity counter?
Just below that - buttons for era score, science & culture progress, 4 other buttons that I can't identify clearly

bottom left - minimap with "Telescope" button
bottom right - unit's stats and actions

City capacity!!

I like it a lot as an addition, though I'd be even more excited to see stability / core cities mechanics. (so you can expand over capacity, but those cities might not be yours to keep...)

city status & build queue just after it was founded:
It's getting 5 food, production and happiness from the palace, not sure about the rightmost icon. "View hidden" checkbox is...intriguing...

It looks clean, that fog of war looks indeed boardgamy which is super neat.

To note, the different versions for pre-ordering give at least one different new skin for the fog of war. Means this is customizable.

I like the in-world visuals a lot, especially the fog of war, but the UI is a letdown in that it's the same overly sterile and minimalist style as the two previous games. I want a lot more information displayed on the screen at once. I'm guessing this will be yet another game where everyone uses some mod that makes the UI more practical and fleshed out and less "modern and accessible UX".

It's funny how they still use the Civ4 font on some of the text. I hope that's one of the "subject to change". Looks really unfinished.

...wow. That's actually awesome idea. It could satisfy those who prefer different solutions between civ5 clouds, civ6 maps, civ7 stuff etc.

Personally I think thank UI looks awesome except for very sharp edges of tiles (idk how to put it in words better), especially strange regarding cultural borders, in civ5 they had this very organic look due to being more round.

So far everything about this game's aestethics is glorious for my taste, with the possible exception of rulers and diplomatic screen where I have some mixed feelings.

Yes, I hope the UI is definitely going through a polish stage. The off set fonts and the bad scaling honestly make it look out of date. And I say this as someone who had mow lawns for 2 months to get enough money so I could I buy a mouse card to have my dad pop in our computer so I could play the original civ better.

I don't think the tech trees, policy screens etc. look very good yet. Part of that might just be because I don't know what any of that stuff is or what it does yet.

I agree with Boesthius that the grey-on-grey and excess negative space are not good designs. I do like the fog of war, and I think the Next Turn button with the gold accents looks nice.

I like it. It's pretty much a combination of Civ 5 & 6. An updated Civ 5 aestethic and an updated Civ VI UI. Also I really like the design of the fogbust. Much cooler than just fog/sky
