He was a great member to the forum and it was a big bummer when he bailed. I'm sorry he's gone, and I always wished he had come back here. We loved him in fiftychat.
There have been a number of infamous hard-right wingers on this site who have come and gone, and he was one of the most notorious. But none went harder than he did while being open minded and making friends here. Unlike many, he was not a troll. He was kind, and just believed things that offended many of us then and would even more so with the crowd now.
He's most famous for this thread, which doesn't read much like a concession or a change of heart in 2024, but best believe in 2010 it was, and preceded a gradual and increasing acceptance over the following years before he got fed up with those who weren't patient with the conservative perspective.
I see. Likely the only consistently outspoken right-wing long-term poster I recall as such would have been Mobboss.

And some that apparently haven't aged a day. What a trip down memory lane. So many faces I haven’t seen or heard from in years.

Good to see you again.Aw, man. Sad to learn of it. Here I am, logging in for the first time in maybe a decade? Yet here I see some old friends, chiming in.
I'm glad to see you all here.
Even if they aren't your favorites, they aren't going to get replaced the way you'd hope they would. They're uniquely beautiful and they grew along with you. Recognizing what is lost... that is a permanent feature of aging. They stop doing meaningful tests for PTSD, btw, after a certain point. Everyone gets it if they linger long enough. The realization that the internet isn't new anymore, and the people in your communities are dying regularly, is a very sobering thing.
For C&C CivIII, we had two people go very early. I still recall discussions with them and it has almost been 20 years...And others in the last couple of years.![]()
Where should I look to catch up?And others in the last couple of years.![]()
