"Your majesty, are you alright?"
Those words would trigger a Revolution... not of swords, but of thought.
It was a new era in Catalia, trade prospered with the Dwarves, Elves and Humans who were in need of materials to sustain their war effort. All the more petty disputes over trade licenses, rights, properties and etc. It drove King Alexandros Nviski mad, or extremely crazy you could say. After an exhausting 3 hour long civil case between two merchants over a petty sales price, he was furious. And when asked that, he responded :
"No, and I will give someone else the job to take care of those cases..."
And thus, the Royal Court was established with a group of paid judges to dispense justice in the land instead of just the King. However, to quell some furious Absolute Monarchists, the Final Call for Judgement was still the King who could be reached through applying through all the lower courts and deemed important enough to reach the King. Also, in order to allow the normal everyday business to run more smoothly, the King summoned important and well placed men from each provinces, merchants, nobles and etc to his Capitol to form the Anais to represent their respective areas and take charge of the normal boring everyday business. With that in place, the King focused on something outside of Catalia and conducted the First State of the Kingdom speech to the People from his balcony of his Palace.
"My People, We are the Proud Catalians! We have resisted the Humans of Old! Do you not remember the Amorfal "renegade" whom with the blessing of the United Human King invaded our lands? And how we defeated him and cast him into the dungeons? We have declined over the years not to Royal Weakness, but to our own failures! Do not ask what your country can do for you my Dear People, but ask what YOU can do for YOUR Country!"
The King takes a break and drinks some lemonade.
"Since my accension to the throne, the Catalian Economy has been increased, our markets now spread from Davania to the distant tribe of the Lost Goblins! Our wealth increases, our people more prestigous. And with the current reforms, the most Sophiscated and cultured Government and People under the Warath Sun! Long Live the People! Long Live the Kingdom!"
