Weird News ε' - The fifth column

Not to sound like a monster but stupid people are kind of a global problem. Not saying we should pay them to be sterilized but maybe we could pay high iq/low dark triad individuals to reproduce. I really don't know but just letting humans breed whenever they want isn't so optimal.

Awful people are more of a problem than stupid people and we don't sterilize them.

You've just watched Idiocracy?

Supporting eugenics is never a good look.

Apart from all other problems with limiting offspring of select groups/individuals, there is also the issue of most people seemingly being of the view their iq is fine and not low. Given that even an englishman (Hobbes) noted it, it must be pretty ubiquitous :mischief:

Some time ago. It was free on YouTube awhile back so I rewatched

Awful people need stupid/desperate ones to support them. Hitler couldn't have been Hitler without his mass hypnosis.

I know it's taboo but while people pay lip service to it being bad they're probably mostly abort down syndrome babies and if they could edit their offsprings genes they would.

Just seems to have a bad rap due to racism.

I haven't seen any evidence that Hitler's supporters tended to be stupid. Bigoted, ignorant and/or desperate yes, but many of them were intelligent and educated.

Uttar Pradesh auto: India tuk-tuk crammed with 27 passengers seized

When police in an Indian town stopped a speeding tuk-tuk (auto-rickshaw), they were surprised to find how many people were crammed into the small vehicle.

A video showing 27 people, including children and elderly, disembarking from the auto-rickshaw in Fatehpur has gone viral on social media.

It shows a policeman counting each passenger as they exit the vehicle.

An auto-rickshaw can generally carry three people, but some are modified to seat up to six passengers.

The incident involving the overcrowded vehicle has been reported from Fatehpur, a town in India's most populated state of Uttar Pradesh.

Drink driver blames Covid for M4 drive with missing tyres

A drink driver travelled for 10 miles down the M4 with two tyres missing after a night out with friends.

Despite being twice the limit and admitting drink driving, Laurie Rosser, 42, blamed Covid for making his mind "cloudy".

Swansea Magistrates' Court heard Rosser, from Gorseinon, had two wheel "blowouts" on his Vauxhall van on 26 June, yet continued driving.

He was banned from driving for 17 months and fined £300.

The court heard how motorists had seen the builder's van travelling down the motorway, with a front and rear tyre missing, and the steel hubs worn away.

I'm not sure why that's suddenly news again, seeing as it happened in 2018.

I should've read it more carefully. Guess it was a slow news day today. We only have war in Europe, wildfires and a heatwave across Europe, a Tory party leadership contest, and a political crisis in Italy after all.

I mean, it's an interesting story, but yeah, it's an unusual choice, given everything else that's going on.

I think the really weird thing is that only 16 people have died in the bull run of Pamplona since 1911.

Two men – aged 50 and 46 – died after being violently struck by bulls on Tuesday at a bull run held in a suburb of the eastern port city of Valencia, a local emergency services spokesman said.
A French tourist in his 60s who had been in intensive care since he was gored by a bull in a village near Alicante on July 8 died on Monday, the spokesman added.
Five people were killed at the [most famous held in the northern city of Pamplona] festival this year which ended on July 14. Sixteen people have died at Pamplona’s bull runs since 1911.

Workers in hazmat suits haul 8 tonnes of spoiled meat from North Bay, Ont., butcher shop

Absentee owners of Bavarian Meat Products locked doors in October 2021, left meat to spoil

A hazmat-suited cleanup crew is expected to finish hauling away over eight tonnes of rotting meat Thursday from an abandoned butcher shop in North Bay, Ont.

Doors of the Bavarian Meat Products have been shuttered since October 2021. The owners left behind hooks, freezers and shelves filled with meat, which has attracted swarms of flies and created a stench that wafts through the neighbourhood.

David Ladouceur, owner of Winmar Property Restoration, said his team was hired by the property owners to clean up the mess, and had already hauled away tonnes of meat. He likened the total to filling up about seven 20-cubic-yard dumpsters.

"I'm certain that people out there have had a freezer that died on them and the contents of that freezer have spoiled," Ladoucer said. "You then get an idea of what that's like — the smells that come across it, the way things start to look after a certain period of time.

"Except this is 14,000 square feet."
