What are "American Values"?

Catholics do make up single largest Christian religious population in America though.

Jews are also "highly disproportionate to their share of the population" in the House and the Senate.

Every other race is allowed to have nationalistic pride in their own country. Mexicans are even allowed to take to the street in OUR country and proclaim a civil war for a "new mestizo nation" for "la raza" (the Race). Yet the fact that European immigrants were primarily responsible for America's advancement needs to be covered up under multiple layers of political correctness.

But are a minority of America's population, who did NOT do most of the work. And by your account, they are the only real "Christians", so I assumed that is what you meant by Christian. :rolleyes:

It has nothing to do with political correctness. No one is denying that European immigrants played a pivotal part in America, but YOU are denying that any other race played a pivotal part. Don't try to use political correctness as a shield for your bigotry.

No I meant Christian as in those who accept the Nicene Creed as descended from Catholic Tradition. If this were a theological debate your argument may have had some merit. Catholics did do a hell of a lot of the work for the country over the years despite the odds being against them...

Seems awfully vauge here. Lets get some operational definitions. What are "American Values?" How do they differ from other values of the west? Other countries? the world? Does everybody in America have to value the exact same things?

Do we tell former colonial nations they better erect statues of their great White former colonial governors, since they certainly played a pivotal part in shaping their countries? Of course not. China for the Chinese, America for the Americans.
Also there would not have been any blacks in the Americas and the "hispanic" race would not even exist if not for European immigration.

Well....if we're going to use that awfully selective view of christiandom, then you're just going to look more wrong.

Who founded the country? Catholics? nope.
Who settled the western united states? Was it the catholics? Nope. Mormons.
Some of our country's greatest scientists? Jewish.
Our country's greatest cultural achivement? Jazz Music. Not invented by whites.
I dont even belive that Catholics are the largest christian group in America. Certainly, the American Catholic church is pretty weak, compared to the rest of the world. We're much more WASP

This guy helped found the first non-religious, private college in America (what is now the University of Pennsylvania), is largley responsible for acquiring the assistance of the French during the revolution, not to mention his good press work, inventions, etc. He also helped establish many churches in the Philadelphia area, and not for any one particular sect, but for all faiths, from the Jews, to Catholics, to Protestants. This man was an unbelievable asset to this country and critical to its founding.

No, the books that don't give you a rubbish history or propeganda like the ones that have soiled you mind. It is a fact that some of our founding fathers were slaveholders, nonslaveholders, Deists, nondenominational, Protestant, etc. So please, pick up a book before continuing to make yourself look foolish.

Then go back to Europe and leave the midwest for the Sioux, New England for the Iroquois, etc. Why did you even both to bring this up? It has nothing to do with your lack of realizing the roles of people in building America.

And America wouldn't be what it is today without immigration. Europe wouldn't be what it is today without trade and technology coming from Asia and the Middle East

Um, well, considering that I am not in charge and I do not authorize capital punishment, I guess I don't have to justify it. The government of the United States of America does not operate with my consent, therefore, I do not relate American values to that entity.
