The Marsh family strike again!

How is it pronounced then?
He pronounces it as "ksi", but the greek iota makes an "e" sound. It's "ksee". Moreover, there is no pause between k and s, it's one letter.

PS: imagine if they pronounced the other name as Alezander ^^

Personally I am more annoyed by writing Thessalonike, that literally has the term nike which in English is spelled correctly alone, with an "i" at the end. As mentioned before, it was the name Philip B' gave his daughter, to commemorate his very important victory in the amphictyonic leage war against Phokis, which let him incorporate Thessaly. Later on Kassander, who married Philip's daughter, founded this city and named it after her.

Reject modernity! Speak Ancient Greek! ;)

:S
I don't speak ancient greek, and any attempt to make it the official language died with its proxy war (where even the heavily medieval language was fused with various corruptions ^^ )
Some of the corruptions are really terrible. Eg while you can say Hellas, you can also say the rather cacophonic "Hellada", which is tied to the ancient dative case (Helladi).

I was taught ancient Greek in school, for two years, but never really was interested. Only recall the either very basic or very emblematic parts.
I can read only the simplest of texts in ancient Greek, and the most characteristic example is the New Testament.

A New Years Eve tradition for me for the last several years. Usually with friends, but my friends went to bed early tonight so I was forced to watch it on my lonesome.

OMG! this requires, at a minimum....

I do have to give some applause to the Marsh family for making their effort to turn a fabulous Shawn McGowan (Pogues) song into something Christians could love.

Sort of ditched Jordan Peterson’s Rules for Life and replaced them with these two videos:
