Okay, here's the story behind the Lord of the Rings symphony. So back in the late eighties, there's this composition contest and this guy Johan de Meji whips up this five-part symphony (his first!) about the Lord of the Rings books. He wins, becomes famous, and awesome music is produced. These are the five movements. They are awesome. I think they rival the films' soundtrack in many respects.
