The title explains it all. What are your favorite countries? What are your least?

My top fav are...
1. USA! USA! USA!:woohoo::woohoo::woohoo: It's a great country!!! The rollin' hills, great history. For those of you think that Bush screwed up the world, so do we. Al Gore actually got more votes, and Bush's approval ratings are 32%. We seriously think he was the worst president of all time.
2. Ireland, it's just a such beutiful country.
3. England. So damn cold, but a pretty cool place.
4. Spain.
5. Japan.

My bottom 5 are...
1. Russia. It's so <very> cold!!!
2. Iraq. I think we (USA) should have never invaded. If you don't count the corrupt political system, poverty, murder on every street corner, it ain't half bad.
3. Sealand.
4. Mexico. Drug setuation is baaaaaad.
5. India

Most neatral..
1.Canada, seriously, what goes on up there???

USA! USA! USA!

IF YOU DON'T LIKE AMERICA THEN YOU CAN GIIIT OUT!

Moderator Action: Please don't use this as a nation bashing thread, and further, please explain your reasoning for any answer.

agreed, this isn't a place for rascists, I was just curious.

Mines:

United States: There is hope for this nation to dust itself off from the Bush Administration. Plus it's my home country.
Japan: It's history mostly the time of the Samurai up to the end of the Meiji Era (Way different and unique compared to the Feudal Era/Middle Age Europe), Technology, as well as Amine titles such as Ghost in the Shell and Cowboy Bebop. Also not forget about their Shinkansen network.
Germany: It's history ranging from the Holy Roman Empire right up to the modern era (I cringe at the years between 1933-1945), The Autobahn, and the Deutsche Bahn (A Railroad company in Germany)

I'm a big fan of Turkey. They know how to crush minorities like pros.

No, seriously, I love döner kebab.

Chechnya, for the peaceful atmosphere and all the job opportunities.

Switzerland. Its tradition of Direct-Democracy, combined with world renowned neutrality is particularly appealing to me.

Cheezy the Wiz said:
Sri Lanka, for their world-renowned youth programs and beautiful beaches.

Was that a somewhat sardonic reference to the LTTE or entirely serious?

Turkey!! Sucessor of the Ottomans! Unique History, awesome buildings. I like the fact it forcibly pushed its way inbetween Christian Europe and Muslim Arabia and made its own special culture.
Plus, I find it amiable that they scared Europe shitless for some time.

UK!! God save the Queen!! Scotland the Brave, All that, Sucessor to the Largest, most badass empire of all time. Delicious Scones and tea. My coloniser! Best of all, they have a track record of whopping France!

Morocco! I have a soft spot for nations that fought agaisnt France or Islamic countries that terrorised Europe or Monarchies. With Morocco, I have all three. Interesting political History, the only North African Nation that was liberated with conservatives/right-wing in power and there were on coups. Hassan II was an awesome political force. Beautiful.

Czech Republic. Prague has got to be the most beautiful city in Europe. Untouched by World War II, Most of the building lay intact. Prague castle is beautiful.

Yes im very Euro Centric

Tarjan, the episode is called "I'm a Little Bit Country" Season 7, original air date 04.09.03. I only know this because I've been watching all the South Park episodes online recently for free (google South Park Studios Episode Guide).

I honestly don't have a favorite country. They're all jerks if you try hard enough. But I'm going to have to go with the US and Canada. This is because any country that spans such an awesome distance with so many different sceneries and cultures and then allows its citizens to roam freely and completely start over in it is OK in my book.

I've never understood why people find it "the most beautiful". It's nice, but the most beautiful? Come on.

Anyway, the Nazis (and the Allies) did some damage, but the real blow was delivered by the Commies.

Being that I have only been in two countries, my choices are limited. I'll go for my home of the USA, for the simple reason that despite the fact we fall flat on our faces, we can pick ourselves up afterwards and make a serious effort to fix our mistakes.

If I'm going for historical impressions through studies outside of my own experience, then I haven't the foggiest.

@Dachs: Turkish food is delicious. I remember this Turkish restaurant from when I was in Georgia (Efe's in Marietta Square), had the best babaganush (I have no idea on the spelling there...feel free to correct it) and adana I've had in a long time. My favorite cuisine, though, is probably Italian. Originally, I hated everything drenched in copious amounts of red sauce. Then, I discovered actual Italian food uses it more sparingly or not at all.

 at the "facetious answers" tag for this thread.

Never have been aboard yet. Although I'd wanna go to a city with less more people, seriously.
