No T-Shirts
No sneakers/tennis shoes
No open toed shoes (though the women violate this all the time, it's really for safety but you can't wear sandals basically).
So I basically wear khakis, casual shoes like sketchers brown or black ones, and polo shirts or button up shirts that aren't real dressy or sweaters. Sometimes I tuck in my shirts, sometimes I don't. I write computer software in an office.
In case this thread will be around for a while I voted what I'm likely to wear given the opportunity, which is a suit. If this is gonna be a short term thread then please mentally switch me over to "I don't have a job".
Yeah. I work in a building largely populated by lawyers and economists and while there is no official dress code the average is somewhat on the business-casual side (scaling up to suits and ties for international meetings and such). As an IT dude, however, I can wear pretty much whatever.
The theory is that customers may be in the office so we need to have some semblance of professionalism. The sales reps all wear dressier stuff, slacks, dress shirts, sometimes jackets.
