Since:
I would like to know what new forms of media were considered evil when you were growing up.

Even though I may be 19 I have grown through some of the whole: New forms of entertainment is bad. Such as:
Video Games: Not only are moral guardians like Jack Thompson quick to tell people that violent video games will make you violent. But psychologist are also thinking that excessive gaming is an addiction. Also the usual, games rot your brain, waste your time, etc.
Social media sites: Sites like facebook, twitter, myspace, are always under attack for making kids lose their social skills
Pokémon: Pokémon is said to teach the theory of evolution.
Harry Potter: Same thing as Pokémon but teaches witchcraft

Do you know you just inspired me to think that people appreciate art on how sincere they consider it? :)

If there would have been a Christian version of Pokemon made, specifically to promote Creationism, it would just suck, because it would be so horribly insincere.

Dungeons & Dragons.

And woe is us, we missed the Kickstarter.

Those damn Redditors.

Video games have been evil my whole life. Television isn't exactly evil, but it is stupefying. Also, t-shirts with "anarchic" messages on them.

Computer games used to be even stranger and satanic-like in the past. Like almost any Amstrad game...

This is the infamous Altered Beast, a game where you got altered to a lycanthrope and just fought on.

That still is from the Sega megadrive version, in the Amiga it looked even more bleak.

This coin-op seemed scary to me at the time too, and i always sucked at it. It is called Golden Axe.

Wait, did I see Fox? That's evil! Coming to think of it, this could be added to the list, despite the fact I am of opinion that Fox absolutely deserves to be called that way!

I think there was some kind of Dungeons and Dragons panic in the late eighties.

Then in the nineties when cellular phones came, they were frowned upon. People told how "this man just talked to a phone in the grocery store", and there were urban stories of people talking to a tv's remote control on the street to show off.

Later that turned to a moral panic of tabloids (so, not necessarily of real people), which wrote how kids cheat in tests and tease each others with text messages.

Oh, and I remember when they wrote in ~2000 that the anarchist leaders gave orders with cell phones to their lackeys in a demonstration turned into a squabble.

Grand Theft Auto and Marilyn Manson. Part of me thinks that this was a roundabout marketing ploy, because it was a sure-fire way to generate interest in two products which in the sober light of adulthood don't actually have much going for them.

80s horror used to scare me. In fact so much that i almost never saw an actual horror film before i went to highschool.

I still recall the local video-club which had a huge poster of this film on one of its walls, always terrified me back then :(

I was also extremely afraid of the trailer of Boxing Helena, which i saw on tv near the end of my elementary school years...

Nickelback is evil. I love this quote from Dave Grohl.
"If you play Nickelback songs backwards, you hear a message from the Devil. Even worse, when you play them forwards, you hear a song from Nickelback."
:cringe:
