What have you learnt from video games?

I learned that you can make turtles go into their shells by jumping on them. If you jump again, they go shooting across the ground without experiencing friction.
Of course, in the case of winged turtles, you have to jump on them once before to end their dreams of flight.

I have learnt that your enemies will merely walk back and forth in a predefined area, paying absolutely no attention to you, but if you touch them anywhere but the head, they'll kill you, or at the very least make you more than halve in size.

I learned that mushrooms double your height.

I've learned that running around naked is the fastest way of movement in a public space.

I've learned that when you steal food, eat it. Everything. Three loaves of bread, six pounds of cheese... All of it. You might learn something.

I've learnt that people will only teach you new, more powerful fighting skills, after you've defeated them in unarmed combat.

I learned that reading doesn't actually require any reading.

Kind of false. But on that note, I've learned a lot of text in games, though meant to create story and entertainment, is actually usually boring and tedious.

Your level of heroness is directly proportional to how little you talk

Regardless of whatever is around, that crowbar is the only thing you can use as a melee weopon

I've learned that horses can walk right through buildings and get stuck on top of the desk. (Awful 3D graphics bug.)

I learned that you can make turtles go into their shells by jumping on them. If you jump again, they go shooting across the ground without experiencing friction.

As well, anything that is hit by such a shooting turtle will die on impact. Or at least lose its ears and tail, or height.

I've also learned that there is no limit to the amount of time that you can spend in an amusement park.

I've also learned that in creepy towns, sometimes the street will turn into a giant, uncrossable abyss, for no clear reason. It is usually best to mark these abysses with a red X on your map.

Important events, including ones such as the end of the world or other things that seem dependant on time, won't happen unless you arrive at the right location.

you can take as much time as you want to rescue hostages, stop people from taking over/destroying the world, and many other things, people will be right where you expect them to be when you get to them.
