1. Yes. Short term can be caused by many things beyond the individual's control.
2. No. If they are disabled that is different (disability) and I would support disability payments. Otherwise if they are healthy there is little reason to be collecting unemployment for long periods of time.
3. Yes. Everyone should have basic skills.
4. No. People should have a desire to learn things beyond the basic skills, so it should take more effort on their part (working, applying for loans,etc.) to earn this. If they don't want to learn then they shouldn't be draining any more of my money. Classes in universities and such deal with more specific knowledge that helps more in one particular field that won't really help in other fields. Whereas, the basic education in grade school and high school deals with knowledge that is in use in many different kinds of jobs.
5. Orphanage, yes. Refugee center-depends on exactly how it is set up and the situation.

7. No. Current system is just fine. Despite the urban legends, if you have a medical emergency the hospitals will not put you back on the street and ignore you because you can't afford the bill.
8. No. They should be rewarded for getting a disease that many of them could have avoided? I will support giving them shelter and feeding them so they aren't wasting away out on the street, but I don't think they should get 'free money'.

10. No. If someone thinks it is in their best interest not to have insurance then that is their choice. If they have a major accident and can't afford the bills, then they have nobody to blame but themselves.
