Le Républicain Catholique
I am a very curious person. (You might of noticed my banana forum) I'm republican and proud of it.
Nukes, death penalties, making fun of the crats. That is the Republican way.

Of course, all the black, jews, and homosexuals that voted for George Bush are members of his cabinet now.Originally posted by NY Hoya
Zarn, I hope you realize that there are an awful lot of Republicans who are pro-choice. The party has been making an effort to broaden it's political base beyond the religious right and extreme conservatives of years past. Of course they still have a place, but so too do the more moderate members of society.
[HEAVY SARCASM]We even allow blacks, jews and homosexuals these days[/HEAVY SARCASM] All of which is a very good thing.
I do not consider myself a member of either major political party. I vote for the lesser of two evils. (Right now, the lesser is the Democrats, as my state's current Republican governor is fully intent on closing the Vienna Correctional Center and eliminating hundreds of jobs, but that's beside the point.) I am also a vast majority pro-life. (Rape, incest, and when the mother's life is in danger are the only occasions I consider abortion an option.) Despite this, I take great offense in your remark. The idea that 'Democrat' is synonymous with 'baby killer' is one of the most ignorant and stereotypical remarks I have ever heard. The idea that there are no pro-choice Republicans is almost as bad. Open your eyes, man.Originally posted by Zarn

That is the same way I feel about Republicans...Originally posted by sonorakitch
Don't get me wrong, Dems are good people. They are needed, and I am glad we have them. It is nice to have the balance. But I am a proud Republican, and I always hope there will be one more of us then them.
