I am a very curious person. (You might of noticed my banana forum) I'm republican and proud of it.:D Nukes, death penalties, making fun of the crats. That is the Republican way.

I feel sorry for you, Zarn, as your entire political belief system seems based on the abuse of other human beings.

Perhaps you need some education. Try this:

I'm not for or against any party, but I am against those who are for one party. I'm not an anarchist by any means, but I don't like the two party system and I think people shouldn't just vote along party lines to relieve themselves of the tough job of thinking.

Zarn, I hope you realize that there are an awful lot of Republicans who are pro-choice. The party has been making an effort to broaden it's political base beyond the religious right and extreme conservatives of years past. Of course they still have a place, but so too do the more moderate members of society.

[HEAVY SARCASM]We even allow blacks, jews and homosexuals these days[/HEAVY SARCASM] All of which is a very good thing.

Of course, all the black, jews, and homosexuals that voted for George Bush are members of his cabinet now.

I do not consider myself a member of either major political party. I vote for the lesser of two evils. (Right now, the lesser is the Democrats, as my state's current Republican governor is fully intent on closing the Vienna Correctional Center and eliminating hundreds of jobs, but that's beside the point.) I am also a vast majority pro-life. (Rape, incest, and when the mother's life is in danger are the only occasions I consider abortion an option.) Despite this, I take great offense in your remark. The idea that 'Democrat' is synonymous with 'baby killer' is one of the most ignorant and stereotypical remarks I have ever heard. The idea that there are no pro-choice Republicans is almost as bad. Open your eyes, man.

The unwanted kids would probably ruin the lives of their mothers and themselves.
Also, do you think that (male) masturbaters kill children, because their sperm dies?

Baltimore.....hmmmmm...well, I guess.

I am a Republican because I believe the individual should have more control over his or her own life. A locality has better ability to impose and enforce policy than some buraucrat in Washington DC. And finally, I believe realism prevails over ideology.

Don't get me wrong, Dems are good people. They are needed, and I am glad we have them. It is nice to have the balance. But I am a proud Republican, and I always hope there will be one more of us then them.

~Chris

PS-I am pro-choice because of the reasons listed above.

PSS- another reason I am a Republican:

"You pay equal taxes. Demand equal pay! Contribute to the DNC today to help elect Democrats in Congress that will fight to ensure equal pay for ALL Americans."

A quote from the DNC Website...right on the front! A perfect example of the lies ("You pay equal taxes) with the communist ideology ("Demand equal pay") that goes hand-in-hand with the Democratic Party.

Nice to see again Sonera. :)

WTH do they actually mean by 'equal' taxes?
To me, it seems to be typical rightist blabla towards the pleibiji which means nothing. :nono:

Republican. But mostly due to the economic stance. I'm a lot more moderate on the other stances. Heck, I'm almost libertarian. There are some I'd actually vote for if I thought they had a chance in heck of being elected. :)

That is the same way I feel about Republicans...
Except I HAVE to point out that there are a lot more registered Democrats than Republicans :D

Unfortunately we can't scare them into voting as well as Republicans scare their constituancy into voting.

Awwwww....come on now Greadius, I will admit a lot of things about my party...but you guys really take the cake on scaring your constituency. Really...
ie. "Winnefred Skinner drove all the way from Wisconsin to be here today because she says she has to collect cans to pay for her drug bills.", ie. "The republicans are going to drain our social security trust fund to the point that no single elderly person can draw from it", ie. "Make no mistake...if Republicans are elected your right to choose will be taken away". Haha!!! Sound familiar?

Plus, your right. Dems outnumber Reps about 3 to 2. But Republicans generally vote in greater numbers because of the sheer constituency of the party. And a Republican victory always owes itself to the support of the moderate independents.
