Pathfinder: Kingmaker. :goodjob:

Just saw some gameplay footage on YouTube.

Looks like something fun to look forward to play in the foreseeable future.

Thanks.

Read the later reply, it was two games plus a seasonal pass plus a government-imposed 30% tax on buying things imposed just because.

So basically facepalm.
There is no more seasonal pass for PoE1, and the version I linked already includes the expansions, so that's basically the same content.
But the 30 % tax, that's certainly weird. Is it applied on GOG ?

I used SimPE to turn one of my Sims from the testing neighbourhood into a cat. I just wanted to see what would happen.

Sadly, most other interactions got various errors about missing IK chains and things like that (when they didn't just drop from the queue). Maybe it wasn't my best idea.

The sim-cat could use the litterbox, though.

Is the user interface of Fallout 2 improved over that from Fallout 1 or is it largely the same?

It's not really "largely" the same.
It's EXACTLY the same. Fallout 2 is a mod of Fallout 1 that is twice the size of the original game, basically.

Rave: The always exciting first boarding operation in a new X3 campaign.

Rant: Turret gunners destroyed the prize before I even got my marines launched. Gave them the wrong guns, obviously.

Did they make any improvements at all in the gameplay?

I think I'll skip it. Even if they added incremental improvements, if it's basically the same game as the first gameplay-wise then I'll pass. Too bad.

The only change I can remember is that hand to hand fighting includes kicks (bigger damage, 4 AP) and punches (lower damage, 3 AP) instead of just punches.

So far I've been enjoying it ! Moff was right , it has that special "one more turn" feeling ! :) The battle is simplified and lacks that tactical depth - perhaps later in game when fleets are gonna be bigger I'll have some more options, so far I've only fought small pirate frigates. The overall strategy screen is somewhat lacking - I miss some kind of "civilopedia" The ship design is allright but it lacks weapon modifiers description. Despise this issues I have, I really enjoy it. :)

Awesome! Glad you're liking it. The overall experience is worth it as you now can see. I agree there are some things that are lacking but this game is great for when you're in the mood to strategy game but don't want to think too hard.

From Software should NOT be allowed to sell PC games that use mouse and keyboard controls.
I need to use like 20 keys and 10 mouse buttons at the same time to play there stupid game.

(It didn't recognize my Logitech dual controller and now iam screwed)

They make poor use of the Steam Controller as well, imo

Uhhh

I've thought about making use of a Steam controller, but currently I don't need a doorstop and access to the appropriate orifice on a Valve executive isn't likely to present itself so I can't think what I would do with one.

On a much better front (X3), my raggedy marines have concluded their first successful boarding operation, reminding me that running boarding ops with rag tag marines is a sucker bet. The plus side, I sold the prize for 170,000 credits. The minus side, probably not comprehensive; lost three marines, two of which were worthless meatbags provided by Argon command but one of which I hired for something in the neighborhood of 150,000 credits; since even among my better quality marines engineering skill is in pretty short supply they blasted the prize near to flinders in the course of capturing it, leading to an annoying workout with the repair laser just to collect the meager amount for it that I got; boarding operations are so intense that remote operation of traders has to be suspended for the duration, so even when a boarding op somehow breaks even the opportunity cost is probably more than I want to think about.

But hey, my surviving marines picked up a few points of fighting skill, which was enough to max one of them out. Now if I invest a huge pile of credits into training other skills for that one at least my credits aren't likely to be turned into a worthless cloud of red mist floating away into space.

In 'Pillars of Eternity', Chanters can name the title of their own songs on the music sheet when they begin chanting the very moment combat begins. :band::viking:

Definitely going to skip it then, thanks!
