What Video Games have you been playing II: Have you finished that backlog?

So far, I've only played with SkyRe, but Requiem is supposed to be really good.

It's got some things I don't like but overall it is really good. The difficulty can definitely be pretty brutal, especially at the beginning, and I much prefer the non-leveled world it provides over Skyrim's default "Now all the bandits have glass weapons because you leveled up" shenanigans.

Aaaaargh! The old run game now has a successor called Run 2! What am I going to do now?

I think I'm starting to get the hang of Stronghold Crusader. I love building walls at chokepoints, hiding trebuchets behind them, and then bombarding the enemy's castle in safety. Follow it up with a charge from the extremely enthusiastic and jolly swordsmen and knights, who undoubtedly praise the sun, and you've got a victory.

Does anyone know if you can play 2nd hand PS4 games online? I.e. if I buy Fifa 15 preowned (which someone has presumably played online before), can I play it online, or does it have some sort of online activation thing that prevents me from doing this? Games I'm interested in are Fifa 15 and Destiny, so I guess it depends on the developer's thing too right?

Also, are brand new consoles in anyway better than consoles at release? e.g. like a second generation released recently that fixes a bunch of stuff?

When I bought an EA Sports game (not FIFA) used a few years ago for the PS3, I had to buy an online pass to access online stuff. I don't know if it's changed since then.

Upon further examination, the new version of Requiem practically requires you to be a Computer Science major to install it, so I can't really recommend this mod any more. Save yourself the hassle and play a game that you don't have to jump through ridiculous hoops to get running.

Playing Shadow of Mordor and loving it. The Nemesis system is fan-freaking-tastic in an open world.

This is unexpectedly fun. Course I'm not all that far since the completionism hasn't worn off yet. I could ignore all the side quests if they didn't pop up with icons on the map, but as is I have the compelling need to clear all the available ones before I do a story mission, which unlocks more of them to do before you move on. I'm not all that far.

So after God knows how many hours (actually, hold on... wow, 484!) of playtime, I just discovered the squadmate armor choices in Mass Effect 3 actually give different bonuses. Always thought they were purely cosmetic, then clicked "info" and noticed they changed stuff...

How many playthroughs is that?

It is more.multiplayer than single player i think. I did a lot of mp that first nine months or so. I think i have done five sp playthroughs, maybe six.

I think I'm on my seventh Oblivion playthrough right now. Har har.

I think I've only had four "main" playthroughs of Oblivion, but given that they lasted approximately 100, 160, 190 and 295 hours each (not including any side characters or the hours lost to dying), I've spent rather too much time playing that game over the last eight years. :)

Evil within - Thank you Japan, I can never sleep ever again

See, that's eight years, I've only got, what, almost three years in my case? I got a long, long way to go. :goodjob:

(I estimate my total amount of Oblivion playing time to be between the ballpark of 800-1200 hours, though I might be underestimating.)

I don't think my time is quite that high, but then I did spend pretty much all my spare time for five months playing Morrowind on the X-Box in 2005, followed by endless hours starting two years later when I got it on PC.

I probably put 15 hours into Oblivion before I decided I wasn't having fun and I primarily bought the game b/c my gf at the time liked it and I liked her, and then she stopped being my gf. No more Oblivion c:

Naturally, it requires lots of modding to be good, but that's what Wrye Bash is for. :D

The first 500-600 hours of Oblivion time we're done in two to three months after I started playing it. Besides eating, sleeping, going to the restroom, and showing up for school and work, I literally did nothing but play Oblivion. I'm a terrible person, I understand.

That's understandable, I think TES isn't to everyone's taste.

If I told you I played 500-600 hours of Oblivion without mods, would you believe me? :mischief:

I'm one of those people who usually prefer to play my games close to vanilla, anyways. Even with mods I haven't used much for Oblivion. Guess I am weird.
