That stinks.

Saying "it doesn't matter at all" is not quite accurate, but yes, there's enough contingency planning in ME3 so that it barely matters.

I love the Phoenix armour.

That stinks.

I just happened to read a complain regarding Bioware, here are the list of game decision that you takes in ME and how (un)effective it is.

Spoiler Warning spoiler :

Killed the Rachni queen in ME1 : She is cloned in ME3
Made Anderson councilor in ME1 because Udina is a jerk: Udina becomes councilor in ME3.
Killed the council in ME1: An alien council returns in ME3
Blew up Collector Base in ME2 so Cerberus can't get Reaper tech: Cerberus still gets Reaper tech in ME3.
United the Geth and Quarians, keeping Tali's dream of owning a house on Rannoch : Tali ends up stranded on some planet and won't see another Quarian ever again.
United Krogan by curing Genophage : Wrex is stranded on Earth and won't return home to Eve or his kid.

I wanted to disagree with @Manfred Belheim but I couldn't. It really didn't matter
Well no, it does matter for... one war asset !
And a few lines in the quest for this war asset.
In ME3.
Also you don't get the same lines during the debriefing after the Rachni quest proper.
And you get an email in ME2.

I think that's actually all.
I just finished Virmire. Now I'm sad. I didn't expect that.
Wait, that's the first time you played ME1 and you didn't know what happened on Virmire ?

As for me, I've spent basically the whole week-end playing Diablo, following its release on GOG. Expected to fiddle a bit with it and then get tired of how primitive it was and go back to whatever "better" modern game there was. Ended up into another example of "actually, the first game got the fundamentals right".
My wrist is still aching (one of the actual useful QoL improvements from later iterations : keeping the mouse button pushed means your guy keeps attacking ; not so much in Diablo 1, so you clickclickclickclickclick non-stop, and after two days doing that 14h+ a day, it's a bit painful).

It's old and a bit clunky, but as often, the simplicity is a real strength and the ambiance is top-notch. I expect I'll still play it for some days.

Fun facts : it's pretty nostalgic, Diablo was a pretty big milestone in my gaming life. It's the game that made me discover the Internet (first time I ever logged on the Internet in general was to chat on Battle.net), gave me the occasion to go to the USA and visit ID Software workplace (yeah, the Doom/Quake guys) and I have this avatar because I started to use my mage guy as an Internet persona.

I tried playing before but was only able to get up to Therum. The Krogan in there kept wiping me out. I managed to get a hold on the combat this time. Playing pretty spoiler-free (though I knew the Reapers were a thing).

EDIT: I finished the game. I had more trouble with the rocket turrets in the final level than the actual final boss itself. That was a good game though.

I love the Phoenix armour.

I don't know which armor is best because I have not yet reached level 60, (don't know if it's possible to reach level > 60 ?) Phoenix sure looks nice and I see You strive to suit Your team in the same kind of armor , me too - it feels more like a military and not some random bunch that way :D You know I kinda got hooked on this game - trying all romantic subplots  and various choices Including Virimire - which blew me away too ! - I guess I am a bit of completionist (not with all games though)

I really got into roleplaying my character. Like after Virmire, I had my Shepard (who was a Sole Survivor and starting to feel the strain after losing yet another person under her command) hang up on the Council and practically chew out Udina when he grounded the Normandy, which was kinda out-of-character for her.

Spoiler :
Also, Sovereign was creepy and really awesome. But at the end, when he got into the Citadel, it reminded me of my old cat who liked to dry-hump dirty socks.

I felt the same about loosing another person when playing sole survivor . Now I am playing female Shepard colonist - war hero - infiltrator with bonus assault rifles skill (from 150 kills with assault rifle achievement) so only weapon left out is a shotgun which I never used anyway :D I really love female Shepard voice acting  ! Also my first playthrough - male - soldier - survivor didn't felt much like being a shadow operative of special tactics and reconnaissance so I went for female infiltrator :) and it feels exactly right being a Spectre now ^^

About
Spoiler :
Sovereign - It kind'a reminds me of some insectoid bug thing or maybe it's just me  But You're right it looked much more intimidating and awesome as a hologram !

My Shepard was an infiltrator, too! I made lots of use out of sabotage. Polonium rounds + heat sink + marksmanship on the pistol is surprisingly effective. I generally used cryo rounds with my sniper rifle but sometimes swapped out for explosive ones.

I'm playing as an Infiltrator in my current play through of Mass Effect.

I stronkly recommend SuperTuxCart if you want wacky racing minus the bloodshed.
Soooo...you didn't quite catch what I meant by 'therapeutic,' I see.
You can use explosives on your fellow competitors all the same, it's just depicted more wackily.

Just… just play it sometime. It's fun.

Welcome to the infiltrators club ! :D Did You guys choose operative special class after completing that VI quest in Sol system or that (ummmm) other class .... (i forgot what the other one was ). Anyway I chose the one that boosted sabotage damage and radius.

 I agree disabling enemies (either by tech or biotics) is always a great way to defeat overwhelming odds ;)

I only once played Shepard as NOT an infiltrator. Well, that was a first and a last.

One fun thing to do is to have a squadmate use Lift on an enemy and then shoot them with the sniper rifle. (Explosive rounds make this more fun.) They go flying!

I had trouble with the combat before I figured out how to better manage my squadmates (e.g. telling them to take cover and the like). And to turn off auto-squad powers so they don't try to use throw on a wall or something.

I only ever played an infiltrator in ME1 to pick up the last achievement for sniper rifle kills. I much preferred the pure classes, especially the Adept.
