Well, he is playing it on easy.

I can't bring myself to buy PM 2016 since it is literally the exact same game as PM 2012, just with an updated candidate list. I'm not going to support companies that put absolutely no effort into improving their franchises and just throw out the same game over and over again with only superficial changes.

I see you don't like the Far Cry games then!

I recently read a review that says Far Cry Primal is essentially a re-skinned Far Cry 3/4 and to be honest I expect a lot of the non-extinct animal models to be the exact same as they were in 3/4. As much as I enjoy the games, they put absolutely minimal effort into the sequels and it's disappointing.

I actually don't like the Far Cry games for that exact reason. I just don't see any point in buying a sequel to a game when it essentially offers the exact same experience as the previous installment. I'll just save money by playing the previous game again.

Sold a bunch of magic cards, I'm building myself a new desktop. Until my parts arrive, i'm still stuck with my laptop, so i'm just playing sins of a solar empire.

I recently got Rise of Nations. I'm enjoying it, though I'm about 13 years late.

I'm so accustomed to villager booming in Age of Empires type games that the commerce cap is really screwing me up. Food production in particular is crazy slow.

Tolni's channelling Belkar, just as I occasionally do. This is getting creepy.

I don't know. I usually keep one or two allies. You know, someone has to take the brunt of the attacks while you build up your godly economy with your villagers, no?

Well, I usually allow my meatshields squadmates to rush into the fray and take the brunt of the attacks while my character proves him/herself as the Chosen One by taking out everyone with a sniper rifle.

I still remember fondly that time when I walked up to the Master's Lieutenant with a Chaingun Laser after procuring the necessary XP and emptied a point-blank bisecting barrage at him. The fight ended before it could begin. Ah, good times…

I was talking about Rise of Nations...although, I just blew up the Lieutenant in Mariposa, didn't even fight him, as I was planning to kill the Master via the Speech way.

The same strategy applies to Rise of Nations. Let the enemy a.k.a. buffer states and inviable allies be crushed, then use your troops to storm in and take the enemy.

RoN has a Cold War campaign in which, naturally, the first thing to do is conquer Iran and South Korea and transform them into People's Republics of Freedom. Or play as the US.

Or launch your nukes on the first turn...

You can't rules over people if you kill them in RoN. Necromancy isn't allowed.
