What WAS good in the 'Good Old Days'?

I remember the good old days when we only had 3 channels and no video recorder. deciding what to watch was a lot simpler.
Roisin Conaty had a joke about that on one of Channel 4's new year quizzes.
She said do you remember when TV used to just end, and you were odd if you stayed up after that.

Conservatives used to be open about what they supported; now it's all lies

I'm colorblind, so what has gotten worse for me are some types of action computer games. Before when my Sprite was running through fields, shooting nazis, I could spot the ones in camouflage by looking for small pixelation differences. But now the graphics have gotten so good that it is actually color hints that give them away. There used to be color hints back then, but of course I didn't use them. So now I run into hard limits on these games, where they become memorization exercises rather than observation exercises.

As an aside, my optimism on when therapies for treating color blindness would be available was higher in the past as well

The internet wasn't 4 or 5 sites posting screencaps of the other 3-4. And ads stayed in their corner where they belonged. You could find websites dedicated to anything. Youtube was just a site where you posted remixes, CCTV or Camcorder footage, and homemade videos. Youtube is probably the biggest sticking point for me, I've been on there since I was a tween in 2007/8 and it's unrecognizable today. Everyone does it for a career instead of a hobby, even though doing so means levels of self-censorship (to appease Adsense and a wildy unpredictable algorithim) that would make network TV blush.

Path of Exile has a check box in game options for colorblind players. :D

I don't know if it's been mentioned, but those classic Disney animated films seem to have been vastly superior to these "live-action" remakes that are coming out these days.

Worst part is click bait headlines or "#5 will shock you!"

I refuse to click those links.
You forgot about all the ‘famousperson's hot daughter has hit 18, here are some pics’ notes that seem to abound these days.
