What was your first impression of CFC-OT?

Also it was shocking to see what opinions some people (whom i thought highly of) from Civ3C&C had. (that was my original sub-forum)

It was also shocking to see how much native english speakers suck at grammar.

My first impression of CFC was that you were all a bunch of nay-sayers who hated science, progress, and sex, and who made a secret deal with the International Astronomer's Union to demote Pluto, as well as not believing Pluto could be terraformed.

FYI, while I am not prepared to comment on whether or not Pluto could be terraformed, I am rather upset that it was demoted. Pluto will always be a planet to me!

I don't remember what my first impression of CFCOT was.

I do remember my first few posts here, though. I didn't start going to OT with any regularity until 2008, but I did post here a year before that (probably got bored in one of my CS classes) about whether the Confederate flag was a racist symbol or not. Unsurprisingly, I believed that it was.

I try not to touch this stuff anymore--the SCV propaganda mill and Lost Cause devotees have been way too successful over the years. There was one conversation between Dommy GW and somebody else recently that I had to physically walk away from my computer to prevent myself from posting on it.

It hasn't popped up recently that I've noticed, and even if it had, I'd probably only just do a drive-by. I haven't even got the patience to argue with idiots about things I like, like late antiquity, much less things I don't like.

I was actually redirected here because I asked a religious question in Civ3 GD, not knowing about OT at the time and I only registered to talk about the Princess problem in conquests, which BTW, they still have not fixed.
