What would your D&D alignment be?

Actually I based my last post on having taken that, or a similar test a while ago as it wasnt working on my phone. I just did it and:

Aha!

I remember taking a D&D alignment quiz before feeling confident that I'd come out either Chaotic Good or Chaotic Neutral, but ended up Neutral Good with a very strong preference for Good and leaning very slightly more towards Lawful than Chaotic.

I came up as Lawful Neutral. I had a strong preference for neutral, and a slight preference for law.

Aha!
Anyone who uses Opera must be chaotic.

Why? Opera is amazing.

My results were very strongly Lawful and split almost entirely between Good and Neutral, so not unexpected. :)

Aha!

That's the same quiz (or both coincidentally have 36 questions).

I was chaotic neutral with a slight inclination towards good. Given some of my life choices I would've thought I'd be a true neutral.

Alignment:
Neutral Good- A neutral good character does the best that a good person can do. He is devoted to helping others. He works with kings and magistrates but does not feel beholden to them. Neutral good is the best alignment you can be because it means doing what is good without bias for or against order. However, neutral good can be a dangerous alignment when it advances mediocrity by limiting the actions of the truly capable.

Race:
Humans are the most adaptable of the common races. Short generations and a penchant for migration and conquest have made them physically diverse as well. Humans are often unorthodox in their dress, sporting unusual hairstyles, fanciful clothes, tattoos, and the like.

Primary Class:
Druids- Druids gain power not by ruling nature but by being at one with it. They hate the unnatural, including aberrations or undead, and destroy them where possible. Druids receive divine spells from nature, not the gods, and can gain an array of powers as they gain experience, including the ability to take the shapes of animals. The weapons and armor of a druid are restricted by their traditional oaths, not simply training. A druid's Wisdom score should be high, as this determines the maximum spell level that they can cast.

Secondary Class:
Wizards- Wizards are arcane spellcasters who depend on intensive study to create their magic. To wizards, magic is not a talent but a difficult, rewarding art. When they are prepared for battle, wizards can use their spells to devastating effect. When caught by surprise, they are vulnerable. The wizard's strength is her spells, everything else is secondary. She learns new spells as she experiments and grows in experience, and she can also learn them from other wizards. In addition, over time a wizard learns to manipulate her spells so they go farther, work better, or are improved in some other way. A wizard can call a familiar- a small, magical, animal companion that serves her. With a high Intelligence, wizards are capable of casting very high levels of spells.

Is this a good or bad thing? I really don't have a clue.

^Neutral, I think.

Welcome back, B.

Yeah. Thanks.

Though I'm not sure I am back. Well, I mean, I shouldn't be. Not yet.

Is it good or bad to be neutral, or just neutral? Is it neither good nor bad to be neutral? Isn't just as likely that all those who are good or bad will consider being neutral to be a bad thing?

Is being a human druid wizard a good, bad, or neutral thing?

Is being 4th/3rd level higher or lower than 2nd/1st?

And if there's no order in these things, what's the point of them?

Chaotic good, without question. I am a basically nice guy, but my tolerance for organizations and institutions is demonstrably low, if not outright non existent.

I'd have said my tolerance for organizations and institutions is non existent too. (Except that I can game the things if I think I need to.) But the quiz decided I was Neutral Good, for some reason.

Neutral good. I'm values driven and not rule driven, but sometimes rules and tradition are a good employ of values. I'll stick my neck out a bit to do the right thing.

I doth protest! The question "What would your D&D alignment be?" is ambiguous! :nono::aargh::run:

Do you mean "What would your D&D alignment be if D&D alignments applied to real life?"
--------or--------
Do you mean "What would your D&D alignment be if you were playing D&D?"

In real life, I am lawful good
In D&D, I am chaotic neutral. In my last game, I punched out one of my own party before the quest even began. :spank:

Punching out a party member / (directly) killing anyone =/= Chaotic Neutral.

Betraying party members / friends if the benefit far outweighs the cost = Chaotic Neutral.

E.G. a mad man captures your party and tells you that if you push a button, you are set free but all your party members die. If you dont push the button, you die and your party members are set free.

The Chaotic Neutral would push the button without hesitation as they are individualistic first and foremost. Good aligned to Lawful Neutral would save their party members. True Neutral would depend on how emotionally attached the person is to the group, or even just one person in the group.

If I was in such a situation, I couldnt see myself wanting to save anyone else over me.
