What's happening in Syria right now??

it's nothing like massive . Russia wants to make New Turkey its satellite so they can't simply overrun the area , which they could and should have down by summer 2016 , but hey , Putin loves the West and wants to be friends .

Over a hundred civilians die in 10 days and apparently, no-one cares.
BBC said:
Syria war: 'World shrugs' as 103 civilians killed in 10 days
More than 100 people, including 26 children, have died in government attacks on hospitals, schools, markets and bakeries in the past 10 days, the UN's human rights chief said.

Michelle Bachelet said the deaths were part of a "relentless campaign of air strikes by the government and its allies", including Russia.

The civilian targets were unlikely to have been accidental, Ms Bachelet said.

But the attacks were met with "apparent international indifference," she said.

Speaking to reporters, Ms Bachelet criticised the "failure of leadership by the world's most powerful nations".

The rising death toll in the rebel-held region of Idlib had been met with a "collective shrug" and the conflict had fallen off the international radar, while the UN Security Council was paralysed, she said.

She also warned those carrying out the attacks could be charged with war crimes.

"Intentional attacks against civilians are war crimes, and those who have ordered them or carried them out are criminally responsible for their actions," Ms Bachelet said.
.....
Even before the conflict began, many Syrians were complaining about high unemployment, corruption and a lack of political freedom under President Bashar al-Assad, who succeeded his father, Hafez, after he died in 2000.

In March 2011, pro-democracy demonstrations erupted in the southern city of Deraa, inspired by the "Arab Spring" in neighbouring countries.

When the government used deadly force to crush the dissent, protests demanding the president's resignation erupted nationwide.

The unrest spread and the crackdown intensified. Opposition supporters took up arms, first to defend themselves and later to rid their areas of security forces. Mr Assad vowed to crush what he called "foreign-backed terrorism".

The violence rapidly escalated and the country descended into civil war.

Pretty sure Trump is still pursuing that in addition to putting American troops in-theater and stepping up the bombing campaign.

Let's not kid around, if Trump actually got involved that civilian death toll would be much higher. That article sounds like some neocon interventionist stuff to me.

well , evil Russians and Syrians are bombing towns , which they are , and here are the ruins of a house , we see the father helpless , one three year old girl hanging on the edge and her 5 year old sister hanging on the 3 year old's legs and they unfortunately fall down to their deaths as this cameraman with nice camera films it , you know instead of getting a blanket and 5 other guys . And well , them White helmets again , they actually attend to the wounded , too , whne the work of the day is complete . Because ı try very hard to use the word fool not that extensively but the heart eating Arabs have come to depend on their enemies , very those people they would rape and eat hearts of , so that they will come and defeat Iran and Russia so that New Arabs can kill their saviours . Much the same for the West , too .

And that's an improvement on the prior policy of dumping more weapons and fighters into that war.

Can't argue with you there.

I find the difference in how the media in my country covers civilian deaths from the Russians and Syrians vs. how they cover civilian deaths from our own operations kind of amusing too. They kill civilians because they're just evil and heartless, but we kill civilians by accident and regret it very much

and no heartbreakers from the Russians either . They declared on Monday that they were attacking El Kaide armed vehicles and similar stuff in cooperation with New Turkey . The World peace really needss the bombardment of Hmeymim and the evictions of Russians out of Syria , because they are still stuck on evicting people while you know it was very clear Idlip would be the last battle . But if this happens , Putin can not get a percentage from whatever he now sells to New Turkey ....
