When you reach for a cold one, what is your personal preference?

Mine would be Sam Adams Summer Ale. After that their Boston Lager.

You have good tastes. The heffenwaieser is good too.

Since we're talking about beer the adult version by Monty Python is better:-

What's the difference between American beer and making love in a canoe?

Nothing they're both f*****g close to water.:D

I knew I got it from somewhere, cheers for the correction :goodjob:

Underage drinking is NOT illegal in private residences.

It is illegal in the US ... underage drinking is illegal anywhere in the US*, and if a adult is present they can be charged too for "Contributing to the Delinquency of a Minor"
With that said - *there are various exception to the rules, religious rites and parental supervision in some states. There is no national standard other than 21 years of age for states the want highway funding.

To further confuse the matter ... click here

Why bother having Miller, Bud, and Coors as options? They're the same damn thing!
If someone else is buying I'll drink anything from piss water to motor oil so long as its beer.
If I'm buying it will be Killian's or darker.

There are many exceptions, but yea the popular beers over here suck.

Natty light comes to mind as one of those terrible beers that many people drink. I have no idea why.

I'm going to have to break this down, I can't choose one type of beer over another:

Stout: Murphy's
Bitter: Bombardier
Ale: Cains Formidable Ale
Lager: Erm, no idea really, most of it (ie the stuff that's easy to find) tastes bloody awful:(

I hate beer, it reeks.

Plus i never understood it:
If i want to get a bit woozy then i have to drink some gin/vodka/whatever.
If i want to be refreshed i drink some non-alcoholic refreshing drinks like Schweps(sp?) and the sort.

The way i see it, beer is for people who can't handle any other drink.

No offence to anyone, btw.

Of the poll options I'd go with Michelob. It's the only US domestic that I can even stand.

But my favorites are Spaten (dark German stuff, bold but fruity, unfortunately not available year-round), Guinness, bitburger, and Warsteiner.

Cairngorm Tradewind
Outlaw - The right side of Leffe - a one off I've never seen again.

I don't have a favourite, many good beer out there and I order many different kinds.

In addition many fo the fine beers listed here, I also enjoy a good Tshing Tao or Kingfisher.

I'm wearing my Coor's Light shirt today.

Out of the poll options I'd go with Corona.

Germans make excellent beer.

New Zealand brands, if I'm just after a beer to drink to get drunk then it's Tui or Speights.
Otherwise I'm quite partial to Monteiths. I had the Radler the other day and although it was rather sweet it'd be an excellent summer beer. They also make excellent ales and lagers.

From the limited poll options, I'd say Heineken.

I greatly prefer ales and stouts-- Guinness, Burton, Newcastle, Caffrey's, Kilkenny/Smithwick's, etc. Heineken, Stella, or any given German lager would be a second choice. I'm not a fan of Pilsener, and I can't stand any French beer I've ever had. If I were compelled to go domestic, I would prefer Sleeman cream ale, Steam Whistle, or Rickard's Red.

I am fairly certain that, in a perfect world, the only beer would be German
:goodjob: I only drink German beer. When I'm in Germany my favourite Pilsner is Tannenzäpfle, (in fact I'm drinking one as I post this) but I also like Jever and Warsteiner. I also love drinking a variety called Dunkles Hefeweizen (lit. dark yeast-wheat, somewhat similar to traditional English ales) a lot. My favourite Hefeweizen are by Hoepfner, Weihenstephaner and Schöfferhofer.
