I don't mind whisky straight, but add a little water and it makes it much nicer. Nothing like having a reasonable bottle of whisky around, even if you do only drink it once a fortnight or so, after cringing at the cost:(
A liter of grants for £9.99 ain't too bad. Thats what we've got at my store at current (Bottom's Up/Threshers).

Yeah! :yeah:

No seriously, when it's a quid a shot before 11 the manly thing to do is buy 4 shots and down 'em straight:) Pleanty of times I've done that!

Depends on the drink. Apple Sourz for a quid may be cheap, but it leaves a nasty taste.

Quid a shot of whisky though? Interesting....very interesting :D

Drawback to apple sours is that there generally only 10% it leaves a big 'whats the point' question when there the same price as other shots.

Edit-10k again :D thats twice in a day :)

I don't drink shots anymore, except for whisky and vodka, which I saviour.

Tequilla makes me violent

I stay away from vodka now- i managed to drink so much one time i threw up before i even made it out!

i find if you know folk that work behind the bars they make you these weird ass shots which get you very hammered and are only like £1.50

The major advantage of knowing someone behind the bar - especially at clubs - is that you get served quicker :D

Yeah!:mischief:

Used to be one guy who'd serve me whilst serving other people, he's just pull the bottle out and hand it to me without even a glance and i'd give him the money, very smooth operation!

Me to actually, but violent in a playfighting way, if ya get my meaning!

Most drinks make me like that. Tequilla makes me violent, violent.

Hehe, I had something similar in which the guy would get me drink before I asked, whilst serving other people :D

The bad thing about clubs though is that if they have any good beer (which they rarely do) it's always like £4 a pint or something stupid, grrr!! So have to go for nasty fosters!

But, if you insist on doing shots, Jaegermister is where it's at.

No, no and NO! That stuff is disgusting rubbish marketted alongside Jack Daniels.

But that's just my opinion :p

I actually don't think I've had rum yet. I remember Brandy being quite nice though.

Brandy was worse than whiskey for me! THat stuff just smells like rubbing alcohol, I couldn't bring myself to drink it, and that's saying something.

Rum is good, I reccomend it with Coke, but it good by itself just the same.

Have you ever had Glenn Levitt? That stuff is goood.

But whisky is the alcohol of life! I can understand why people may not like it (and brandy) though. Tequilla and Cognag I completely avoid.

And no I haven't tried either :)

Glenn Levitt is Scotch, it is very very yummmm.

I still can't stand whiskey. I may grow into it one day, though, like I did black coffee. I was driving down the road, and all of a sudden just desired black coffee, which I had always despised.

Perhaps a similar whiskey revelation?:crazyeye:

I didnt read this whole thread, but if anybody said Nati Light, or Paps blue Ribbon, I get to punch you. Even I know that stuff is crap
