Striving to be a perfect human, or striving to be perfectly human?

Out of those two options, the former.

My own view differs somewhat...

Would it be possible for someone who is the perfect human to be striving to be perfectly human, if you catch my drift.

But is happiness what is 'best' in life?

The latter is more likely, the former more noble.

Most of the time, yes. Substitute 'contentment' or 'satisfaction' if those words work better for you.

Myself, Im leaning towards 'perfectly human' as the one most likely to bring happiness. Perfection and Humanity are mutually exclusive. The more the needle points to 'Perfection', the farther it is from 'Humanity'.

I know the Conan remark youre referring to, and I dont mean we should be THAT human;)

Darn! That was my original intention. So much for being subtle...

Contentment and satisfaction do nothing for me. I march for glory and victory on the long road to Valhalla. I want no happiness. As such, aiming for perfection is better than being a simpering nice little human, dumbly potheading ones way on the bypass to ignominy.

I just try my best to pass as human.
Someone saying they are a perfect human would be imperfect, since they clearly have a big ego and people who think they are above others are the kind of people that end up starting world wars, or just as bad, flame wars.

"Indeedy do," remarked Darkshade as he stretched back in his comfortable carved malachite throne as the dulcet tones of Am Adolf Hitler Platz and the unmistakable crackle of burning children softly echoed in the background "Indeedy do." He closed his eyes and dreamt of far off verdant shores, lions and frying pans. :ack:

And don't ye forget it or I'll have you castrated for good measure! :ack:

Once you tell me what each of them are (what do they mean?) I will tell you which is better!

I doubt either one of them is 'best'!

merry xmas :)

Isn't it your own interpretation that is important. I would say perfectly human since we all are already. I think it's impossible to be a perfect human.

Perfect human, because you would be the best at everything.

If i am to interpret the question, i can answer it anyway i like. Even better, I can put whatever interpretation on the answer I give whenever i like. Which makes it essentially meaningless. {much like most of the discussion in this thread so far :mischief: }

Well SD now that youre back, guess its time to raise the general castration threat level back up to orange:scan:

Betazed, I started to write out a long explanation, but then I realised that I already know what I think. I made the thread because Id rather hear what 'perfectly human' means to YOU;)

Merry Christmas 2u2:goodjob:
