Which television shows are you watching? Part III

Well they are "LOST"

I didn't realize Rebecca Romijn was a giant until I watched that show.
:rotfl:
When I watched the Picard trailer at Regal in Seattle, it had a big "Amazon Prime" logo on it. Is it not going to be on CBS All Access? That bodes well for me in Canada if so.
It's been accused of being a ‘bleakquel’.

Oye, Inyalowda: Deadline says that Keon Alexander (Marco Inaros), Nadine Nicole (Clarissa/Melba/"Peaches"), and Jasai Chase Owens (Filip Inaros) have all been promoted to series regulars for The Expanse season 5. So that would fit with the expectation that season 5 will be Nemesis Games (possibly put in a blender with Babylon's Ashes?).

I watched V Wars. Kind of interesting. The beginning was railroaded a little and, in modern Netflix fashion, time passes arbitrarily. However, it was generally enjoyable. Ending was kinda eh but set up for season two nicely if it ends up getting made.

Patient Zero seemed like he could have been a decent Blade. But as the series went on, his weaknesses were too apparent and I don't think that anymore. Blade has a certain stoicism that this actor would not be able to replicate, especially in comparison to Ali.

I am re-watching the first season of MINDHUNTER now so that I remember everything when I start season two.

Finished Avatar:TLA a couple of days ago, just started The Dragon Prince.

I'm hoping the recent production hiccup is just a hiccup, but Netflix are becoming notorious for canceling seemingly-successful shows quicker than expected. They haven't formally canceled the show, so I guess there's a hope.

Project Blue Book - Season 2 premiered this week. The first episode was a bit jarring thematically. I haven't looked, but something has definitely changed with the writers, directors, or showrunners.

The Magicians - Season 5 has started a bit rough imo with the
Spoiler :
loss
of one of the main actors.

Kim's Convenience - For a show that I have consistently loved for 3 seasons, this 4th season has largely been a disappointment with the writing and show direction.

아름다운 그대에게 (To The Beautiful You) - Older K-Drama I went back and began rewatching. Even though it can be silly at times, it still brings a smile to my face. It's somewhat bittersweet though, with the loss of Sulli late last year.

Star Trek: Picard - First episode dropped this morning. Won't be able to watch it until tonight, but I don't have particularly high hopes for it.

What do you think? What do you think, what do you think, what do you think?

Nooooo. This is terrible to hear. I just caught up on season three and it was amazing.

Of TLA? I liked it, and I especially liked the way they ended it (although... I'm still a bit puzzled as to when Aang finally managed to unblock his 7th chakra, and became able to control his Avatar-state -- unless the lion-turtle did it for him?).

As for TDP, I only watched S1E1 so far, so really too soon to say anything.

The Dragon Prince seasons are two and a half hours long each, surely you can call out of work...?

Sym-bionic Titan. Cartoon Network managed to put it out of business but now they've shoved it onto Tooncast.

I heard a positive critics review of Picard.

PBS has a cool limited documentary series about the history of aerospace in southern California that I really would like to watch. I just found out it's behind a paywall - $5/mo. :(

MINDHUNTER, season two. I liked this better than the first season despite its weaknesses. I don't understand why they used that baller suspenseful music for completely mundane scenes. I want to hear that more in other stuff though. Great atmosphere. Ending came to a climax too quickly. 8.5/10.

The I-Land. Uhm, well, no thanks. 0/10.

3%, season three. Loved season one. Season two was alright. What the hell is season three? 1/10.

Now I am watching a reality/comedy show called The Fix. Only watched the first episode so far and it was pretty funny. The host has a really agitating fake laugh though. Ha ha ha ha ha.

I watched the first episode of Star Trek: Picard. The revelations about synthetics seems rather implausible to me, but hey, it wasn't a bad episode and I'll keep on watching.

I binged watched PBS Space Time last night and it was dope. I learned a lot about various flavors of string theory and quark stars. Most of his episodes are really good but there's been a few where he skips through or over complicated subjects and that can make it challenging to follow his narrative thread.

I seem to be rewatching Brooklyn Nine-Nine, for the second or third time. That's the main thing I'm watching at any rate. I should probably get back on with Crazy Ex-Girlfriend at some point.

Finished Big Bang Theory S12 with wifey yesterday, immediately started Chilling Adventures of Sabrina S3. Fun so far...

Got a disc with part of the first season of the Orville on it. We watched the first two episodes on it and really enjoyed it. Only complaint was it was a standard DVD which looks kind of bad on my TV but nbd.

I did not realize Brannon Braga was so involved in this series. It shows. It's just like a classic TNG episode but with some crude humor sprinkled in. I love it.
