Hey everyone. Was thinking about NESing the other day. I'm glad there's still activity here and in IOT.
Always nice to see you drop by Imago.
Wow, nostalgia trip. Went down the rabbit hole for a while... sad to see what transpired considering Amons' Motherhen was one of the first NES's I came to enjoy. 08, 09? Time flies.
Awesome that you guys are keeping this alive. NES is really an experience more people should become aware of. Even lurking was fun..
Happy New Years ya'll!
Thanks a bunch skeptikalz! Things have really died off in activity lately. I'm still working on my new update however.
So I like that TNES is the one true neverending story...
Ironic. He could end others, but not himself...
For those of you that don't typically hang around #nes IRC we now have a resurrected Discord located here: https://discordapp.com/channels/531214996630274048/531214996630274050
Always interested in new drop-in players for paradox games too.
Sort of made this account to tell you discord links don't work like that. I'm not really to partial to IRC myself, but would be open to a discord server, especially one that hosts paradox matches. At any rate, NESing is cool, and the only things approaching it in complexity I've ever seen are a few Council Games on SB, a few Arms Races on Bay12, and the AH forum's bizzare obsession with election games. I can always respect something that people put so much effort into making.
If me being incompetent is all it takes to get people to join this forum, I'll start drooling and typoing all over the place. Please stay, doubloon!
Also, feel free to join TNES or MigrationNES, or take a look at the IOT forum where there are also some quality games.
I'm thinking of actually attempting an NES in the form of a Team vs. Team wargame. Would anyone be interested in something like that?
I'm planning to host DaftNESV here on this very forum in the near future - it will be a tribal start NES using graphical icons in pixel-art style, advancing through the ages. In otherwords a repeat of several past projects (some that didn't last very long) but, applying the experience and life lessons, hopefully with more success
Yes, assuming this is the one you mentioned in Discord
Sign me up, Dafty!
I am going to be all over that.
