While We Wait: Boredom Strikes Back

I'm not convinced that you were working out of anything but self interest. Of course, I had already lost my chance at victory by that point, so I openly expressed that it was likely that I would just be a meat shield to allow you to build up a fleet capable of beating Yukon. But you were definitely jumping the gun there, and now my capital belongs to Yukon and I never fought a single battle against him in its defense. :p

In other news, I have added a few notes onto the map of the new game of NP, using red lines to show each player's neighbours, pink lines to show future neighbours once we have the ranged technology , and jagged white lines to show the gulf dividing our galaxy into two roughly equal clusters.

EDIT: Also, lol Starlife, and my nation looks like a really demented face.

Wish I lived in american time zones! I believe Tuxedohamm is in Europe though?

So can you like conduct your turn at any point during the day, and it updates at a certain time each day?

That would be awesome. However, I am on the other side of the Pond.

On another note, the Talithan Ascendancy is pleased to announce the incorporation of the Interstellar Dancing Man into their religious practices.

Lol, interstellar dancing man. Hilarious.

I'd love to try the game out, but... Exams...

EDIT: Also:

You know, I actually defended you, but now you're attacking me, so now you're on your own.

... Damn, I really need to cement this, I'm sorry about further cluttering of the thread Daft. Should we let things go on in WWW?

We should.

Please redirect all discussion of NWAG's illegit bumping of NESLife to here, if more is necessary.

I didn't mean to attack you- I was just stating my views. As an ideal, arguments should be about the facts rather than hostile.

Actually, you're right. You didn't attack me, I have no idea why I felt that.

Regardless, your fast reply was further cluttering of the thread which I advised against. If you don't care about dogpiling, go for it, but it's not exactly healthy in any way to ask for it.

To me, I just wait calmly for Daft to return. Because he will, I trust that in him.

When I exercise patience, NESes tend to end up dead. At least when I agitate people realise it's dead (plus the about 1% of cases where they actually update).

This is simply not true. NESes end up dead for a variety of reasons, NEVER because you didn't repeatedly annoy everyone by demanding an update.
A NES will update, if the mod of the NES wants to. You poking him will have ZERO effect. If anything is it most likely to piss him off and reduce the chance of him wanting to update.

You have been told a thousand times not to do it, I don't understand when you persist. Not a single mod has EVER responded positively from you bumping a thread, but you aways get hounded for it. Why can't you take the hint?

I admit that less then one hundreth of the time does my nagging have the effect of causing an update (although I think I remember it working once or twice...). I primarily do it for two reasons:
1- As a 'check', to help me figure out how likely it is an NES will end up dead.
2- Because being a mod implies a commitment to update- if they want to stop, they should formally bring the NES to an end.

This kind of behavior only attracts antagonism towards you. You should stop being so outwardly negative and spammy and learn that most of us have better things to do than listen to some child cry over not getting his way.

@NWAG: Please, find me one example where a mod updated because you nagged him, i'll find you a hundred times you have pissed everyone off.
Is that really worth it?
I am 100% certain you cannot even find that 1 time, because it does not exist.

Please, just PM/VM the moderator, do NOT bump the thread.

Everyone wins! You find out if the NES is still alive (strange everyone else can just tell by when the moderator last posted, but you can't?) and you don't piss everyone else off by bumping the thread.

Ignore the chattering of the rabble NWAG. You do what you have to do.

But it upsets the moderators he does it to as well, not us rabble?

lol the rabble. I had a crumpet this morning with my tea. I think that makes me some kind of royalty.

depends what you had on your crumpet...

He's pointing out how lazy they are, so of course they are upset.

It was topped with butter and honey. Truly any monarch would have been happy to consume such a treat.

I think you needed raspberry jam to be truely regal

Duly noted! I'm actually cultivating some raspberries this year. Maybe I should preserve some of them.
